Outstanding quality, and made in the USA
Not quite as light as Aqua Bound’s more-expensive carbon-fiber paddles, but very well-made and finished. I especially like the slightly ovalized grip area on the shaft. Unlike another reviewer, I’ve had no problem operating the spring-loaded button that couples the two parts of the shaft, and the slip-joint coupling is very precise and secure. It’s an added bonus that Aqua Bound makes all its paddles in Wisconsin USA.

I got this for my ORU Beach kayak. I took off the drip rings and the paddle feels super light. It's easy to assemble and I wear gloves so the texture of the shaft feels fine.

too much rotation at the joint
No, I do not recommend this product
I've been using a Werner Skagit which has zero movement at the joint between the two pieces. I needed a longer paddle for a different kayak and decided to give this one a try since it was in stock at my local store. Overall I feel like the quality is fairly comparable to the Skagit, except for one key element - the lock where the two pieces join. There's so much movement there that I can feel the two pieces rotating with every stroke. I'm not sure how much energy it wastes, but it feels really annoying. Going to return it.

The paddle works fine, it is easy to carry around and put together. It is light weight and serves its purpose well. I am a bit confused as to why after I purchased the paddle I found three different price tags, all with different prices. I would think if you were raising the price after it is on the shelf the co-workers would have removed the previous price tags.

They Work
The "buttons" to change the paddle angle are sticky and hard to depress all the way. Wish the shaft was more grippy.
