Cut is perfect holds on to the stink.

I’m looking for a thru hiking hoodie. Saw someone else use this. The cut is perfect. Tapers with the body without being tight anywhere. Long enough to not ride up under your backpack. Short enough to not hang too far down. Constructed so it has a collar so your neck is protected from the sun - this is a feature I haven’t seen in other sun hoodies. (Might be the one reason to overlook its cons.) Extremely light weight. Probably weighs half what my old sunshirt weighs. Color is nice and it doesn’t hold onto dirt. Cons. Deal breaker for thru hiking - it really, really, really holds onto the stink. One good day of hiking and it’s repulsive. Cons that I probably would have overlooked: pocket seems pointless where it’s placed. I might cut out the fabric to save weight. Hood doesn’t quite come far enough forward to protect sides of face. Really holds onto moisture- which is very cooling in hot weather but not so great in cooler temperatures. It has thumb loops rather than thumb holes. Which means sleeve doesn’t protect hand from sun hardly at all. I’m keeping it. I love using it for bike rides and day hikes but probably won’t backpack with it due to the stink factor.

Great, lightweight sun shirt!

Lightweight fabric kept me comfortable during a 92 degree day hike. Love that the shirt covers my neck when zipped up all the way.

Favorite Sun Shirt

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love ALMOST everything about this shirt. I have PLE so I have to cover my skin in the sun-sunscreen is not enough-so I started to look for UPF clothes. Kudos to OR for offering plus sizes that actually fit! The fabric is divine and feels good even when I'm hot. The hood stays in place (which I can't say for other brands I've tried), and the sleeves with the thumb loop cover a good portion of my hands. My one gripe is the diagonal seam. It's just an odd choice for women's clothing.

Wish it came in more colors, I'd buy them all.

I don't ever write reviews, that's how good this shirt is. OR has been dipping its toe in the plus sized active wear world for a little while now and they did a good job with this one. It actually fits, and not like it just fits better than all the other poorly fitting clothing out there. This shirt actually fits me. It's roomy enough for large body without just extending all the dimensions in ways that make no sense. Usually something that fits my torso will have 3 extra inches on the sleeves and won't fit in the shoulder, this is not the case. It fit my arms and shoulders perfectly and didn't restrict my movement in anyway. I just wore it on a 4 day fishing trip in 90+ temps and it kept me cool and dried quickly. My biggest complaint is that I had to wear the same shirt for 4 days because it's so expensive I couldn't afford a second one.

Lightweight Material

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am absolutely thrilled with this hoodie. Not only is it extremely comfortable, but the hood is fantastic. It is very form fitting to your head and lays really nice whether up or down. I love how high the material zips up to really protect your neck. I have worn this, with the hood up, in 80+ degree humid weather and haven't been uncomfortable.

You NEED This

I love this sun shirt I bought one for my sister and mom. Super lightweight and the hood is the perfect size to keep sun off your neck and face. I've worn this to do yard work, to hike and rockhound (it withstood a full season of me laying in the dirt) and to outdoor music festivals. It's so versatile and the orange color is beautiful in person

Surprisingly light and cool on a hot day!

I wore this for the first time on a walk on an 82-degree afternoon. I was happily surprised by how light and cool it was, even though it covered me from neck to wrists. It has a roomy but not baggy fit. I might buy a second one!

Fantastic Jacket

Love the weight and sun protection of this jacket. Not ideal for rain, but wind and sun it's top notch. Repels stains and washes out all the grime I get while guiding and loading boats.

Terrible fit/design

Returning this item. It is designed for very long torsos and the size chart is inaccurate.
