Love it! Highly recommended, and it’s affordable.
Excellent water bottle. I bring it to work everyday. It’s the exact amount of water that I need to drink daily. The see-through bottle reminds me to drink all the water by the end of the day to remain hydrated. As for the construction, it’s very light weight and sturdy. Love the magnetic cap that keeps it open while I drink, or drink and eat at the same time. The cap is also very secure. I forgot to tighten the cap once and carried it around, and it did not spill any water. Lastly, the handle is very convenient and easy to cary around without hurting my fingers. Only issue I have is not being able to place it in my car cup holder, but that’s a car problem not the water bottle.
Great bottle - had difficulty at first
I am not sure if my first review was posted but here's an updated review. Initially when I got this bottle I was very excited. It is lightweight, holds a lot of liquid, and I really like the way the cap works in that it doesn't smack me in the face when I drink from the bottle. It's clear and very easy to carry. Then, thinking it was leakproof, I put in my tote bag and it spilled water everywhere. I was very disappointed. I looked online and noticed that literally no one has had the issue I had with it. Was mine just defective, I thought. Then, I read about how someone said they like the fact you could screw on and off the cap to make it leakproof. I went "D'oh!". Now it's my favorite bottle ever. Just remember to screw the cap on and off when you are traveling.
Works great, but cap attachment is questionable
This bottle is great to use. Doesn’t leak, good size, cap is easy to use and stays out of the way while drinking. Everything you’d want a bottle to be. BUT, the folding plastic piece that holds the top on seems like it’s not going to last. The hinges in the plastic are created by making the plastic piece thinner, and I can imagine it breaking at that hinge eventually. Until then, this will be my everyday bottle.
Easy Fill, Easy Sip, Nice Lid
There are a lot of variations on water bottle lids out there. They all have their pros and cons. Often different types are ideal for different purposes. To me, this is ideal for day hikes and backpacking. Here are are some reasons I feel that way. -Lid screws off so the wide mouth can easily catch water in a shallow stream. Narrow mouth bottles can be a pain to fill so this is really helpful. - The lid swings back on a hinge. I can't be the only one who has taken a big swig of a water and caught the cap in their eye. It's a minor inconvenience but I'm glad they fixed it. -There is a magnet in the lid that helps the lid stay open when you want it to and to settle back onto the spout when you want to close it. Again, a minor thing, but it is annoying when you start to screw a lid back on and realize you missed the thread. -The opening is ideal for slower activities. You are taking a day hike and just crested a hill. That a perfect time for a big swig of water and the opening which is a little wider than a soda bottles allows that easily. I wouldn't say it's ideal for biking or running because you have to tilt your head back to drink, but 32 oz. is too big for a run anyway. All told this is a solid water bottle. The larger size is great if you want to do a longer day-hike especially in the summer without carrying a water bladder on your back. I took a hike with it and just carried it in my hand. That might get old after more than 3-4 miles but it didn't bother me. Hope this helps.
Just Fine
I find this an entirely sufficient bottle. To be honest, the plastic vessel feels like cheap material and I swear I’m getting a “plastic” taste off the water. I’m entirely unsure of the magnetic top’s purpose; it is semi water-tight and and pops open when dropped. It does screw down as well to form a tight seal, but I don’t find the magnetic top any easier to use than the screw top. It lacks volumetric markings, which is a slight disappoint. To be honest, it’ll go to the back of my bottle cabinet.
Solid Water Bottle With Unique Lid
I received this water bottle and have been using it daily. The quality is what I have come to expect from CamelBak; you can toss it in a bag or use the rigid loop on the cap to hang with a carabiner without worrying it will open and spill. The new magnetic lid seals tightly and stays put when you flip it open onto the magnet. Would recommend it as your go-to!
Great bottle
Bottle fits great in backpack, water pouch, or bag. Cap is great. No leak. A little learning on opening and closing mouth piece. My only gripe is that bottle gets very scuffed up fast when I put into my backpack. From clear to blur.
Good bottle for it's value
Took me a minute to realize that the cap actually twists shut xD so yeah it spilled a couple times bei figured that out. How's since then it's been a great water bottle
makes a great cycling bottle
32 oz Chute Mag is a great bottle for the bike. Need an adjustable or oversized bottle cage. The “ring” on the cap let’s me grab the bottle easily with two fingers. Between the length of the ring and the length of my fingers, I have to reach a good 3-4 inches less to pull the bottle when riding. Makes a difference to me.
Fit a need and for a good price.
My son needed a clear water bottle for school and this fit the bill. He really likes the way the lid/spout screws on to secure it so that there are no accidental spills. The only downside is that the lid gets pretty funky smelling quickly (he did not have the same issue with his previous bottle - a Nalgene).
