Just picked this up - so far I'm not happy w/how the water tastes drinking out of this. I put 2 tablespoons of baking soda & some lemon juice w/warm water and let it sit overnight. Same taste - don't get me wrong, I want to like this bottle, but if water is going to taste like this out of it, I'll stop using it. Anyone got some suggestions to remedy this? Thanks in advance! PS - I do like how my design/brand looks on it!
Meh…. Bought this to replace my beat up old Camelbak in the same size with the mag chute lid and found the thrive lid to be inferior. The spring loaded closure means you have to use both hands to screw the cap on (and you’re never quite sure when it catches, the mag chute cap could be done with one hand) and the handle flopping all over is a negative for me. Bring back the older version!
Got this waterbottle in the teal color! It's the perfect waterbottle IMO.. love it so much!! I love that the top twists shut to prevent leaks, has a slightly wider mouth so you get a good amount of water (but not so much like a nalgene where you spill everywhere) and the 25oz size fits in cup holders in the car!! It also has a nice handle that you can carry the water bottle with, which is nice. Thank you CamelBak!
Like the solid feel, like the light weight, the chug lid is a twist not a pop (a little challenging to get used to at first)
This model is the second one I’ve purchased. They are easy to clean and fit in my car cup holders. Easy to carry but mostly I use them around the house to keep hydrated or have a bottle of water with me when I am out on errands. I empty and rinse thoroughly before using. We also have stainless steel water bottles but for the specific purposes I have, this bottle works perfectly.
Ok after leaving baking soda & lemon juice/water in the bottle overnight, the unpleasant new plastic tasted seems to be gone. No issues with it now - I think the drinking spout will be easier to clean than bottles w/more elaborate straws. Looks to be a great bottle that will be easier to clean & keep free of mold. I'd take down my previous review if I could!
I wanted a simple water bottle to leave in the refrigerator to gab a quick drink without using disposable water bottles. This is perfect. No too small and not too large "it's just right"
Quality and utility as expected! I have been buying various Camelback water bottles for years. This is no exception to smart utilitarian design.
I like everything about this bottle. The drinking spout is a nice size and is “pourable”. The cap closes easily and it does not leak.
This bottle never leaks, is very easy to clean and fits in standard cup holders and bike bottle holders.
