Make sure you get the right model

The ST model does not include the dispenser cap or the hanging strap that are found on the more expensive Watercell X. The ST is just an unwieldy bag of water - hard to handle and very difficult to pour. I wish I’d known this before or I would have bought the X.

No, I do not recommend this product

I've used this product a

I've used this product a few times and I am impressed. It is extremely packable, tough and convenient. It adds no taste to water; even over a few days. Caveat, I used it to winter camp, so no hot temps that can sometimes cause added taste. It is easy to clean. I use my Camelbak hanger to let it hang dry. I didn't treat it especially roughly, but I feel as if it could take some punishment, like being sat on or dropped. The extremely pliable and soft material adds to it's convenience. If the cap had a spigot and/or a way to attach a water filter, I would like it better, but those are small things that I don't feel good against it much. Overall, I like it very much and look forward to using it for a very long time. I recommend it.

GREAT SHAPE AND MATERIAL

I love the shape and material used for the watercell. It’s perfect for saving space while overlanding and replacing hard to deal with awkward to pack, bulky, stiff plastic. I love the easy to hold side handle. Seems like durable material, so far. The two improvements I would add, would be on the improving the cap to integrate a pour spout into it and enlarging the small finger holds near the cap making it easier to pour a nice steady stream rather than dump 1/4 of the water that you just collected. that are placed there to help pour the water out.

I own 4 4 liter bladders

I use one of these for each of my kits (UL BACKPACKING, DAY HIKE PACK, BUGOUT BAG, MOUNTAINEERING BACKPACK) And for each bag I have a 4 liter bladder. I was so tired of being dehydrated all the time because I wouldn’t drink enough (my own fault) but even if I hydrate. This bladder is best utilized at camp where I hike in deep in the wilderness with the bottle empty. It weighs nothing and packs down to nothing but when I get to camp I filter 4 liters and that gives me water for washing up, drinking, and cooking for the night and the morning. Very very essential for me which is why I bought an additional 3 as soon as realized how practical it was. I change the lid to make it more versatile on 1 of them. It’s one of the those 3 and 1 lids.

Rugged watercell

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I work at an outdoor retailer, so I get to try stuff from a lot of brands. This watercell is rugged, easily fillable, and packs down small. 2 issues I have are, pouring out of it can be a bit messy when it's half empty, and cleaning isn't super easy with a brush. Luckily one of these issues are remedied with cleaning tabs. And pouring water whilst getting splases on yourself or the ground isn't the worst that could happen. So I still use and really enjoy this product. It's not perfect but it's hard to beat.

Nice addition to my camp gear

Note this is for the 4L. Basically, this is a re-imagined and truly well designed canteen. Very light, easy to handle, well balanced pour, this size is great for when full and I’m adding water to a small pot sitting precariously up on stove and fuel canister. No petrochem taste. Sits on its bottom or edge. Top seals tight and spins off easily. Who knew something this simple would be simply perfect.

Game Changer

Perfect for overnight car camping. The 10 liter is enough for staying hydrated, making dinner, dishes, etc. There is a valve to control the stream of water which helps to conserve and not spill. There's also a shower attachment. Id take this backpacking for use around camp, too. Just a brilliant addition to yout outdoor gear.

Excellent!

After 10 days in the Wind River Mountains with this bag, I'm very happy with it. It's very light, packs down small when empty, the cap seals tightly, and the pour handle is just right for pouring. The lash points and carry handles are well designed, too. This is the best water storage device I've found for backcountry travel.

Just okay

Very awkward dispensing when full. There should definitely be some sort of spigot for the $30 price tag. I bought the 10L and the fill handle is grossly undersized for the weight when full. You should probably just buy the new beefier model for $10 more. At least they send a showerhead attachment with that one.

Another Winner...

After years of carrying two Nalgene bottles with me to haul filtered water back to the campsite, I can now carry more with less bulk and weight. The 4L flask holds more water than 4 Nalgene's in a fraction of the space. And it screws right to my filter. Really cool idea, awesome design, and well built.
