I bought these for a week-long trip that included two days kayaking Horseshoe Bend in AZ and hiking through slot canyons in UT, finishing with some hikes in Arches N.P. I mistakenly left my second pair of hiking shoes at home and feared these might be too soggy or too stiff for full time use. Fortunately, I was way off; these were comfortable on and off the river. They had great grip on the boat and on rocks in the river, but also dried out quickly and were comfortable hiking. I love how they look, too. All in all, I couldn't be happier with these shoes!
Wore the shoes on a cruise to the Galápagos Islands. Worked perfect on the tenders, walking on the beach and on the lava rocks.
14 year old sweaty feet stayed fresh through a hike in Fuji Mt.
First off, when I retired I got rid of all but one pair of dress shoes and bought all Merrells. From boots for hiking, snow and dress to slipons, trails shoes, water shoes well, you get it. 48 pair. Love them. These shoes are comfortable and are good for semi flat trails. They don’t have a lot of foot support (side to side) and the bottoms wear out fast. Reason for 4

The Merrell All Out Blaze were my all time favorites and I was sad to see them discontinued a few years ago. These are very similar: lightweight with superb ventilation. I use them for work to keep my feet cool and dry but they would be good for most any activity.
I am a female who wears size 13 in women’s and have a very narrow foot. Merrell is the only brand of hikers I have found that fit well. They are excellent walking/hiking shoes and take me everywhere I want to go in the San Juan Mountains, Colorado!
I purchased this shoe to wear on a week long adventure in the New Jersey pine barrens, a sandy swampy beautiful land, unfortunately the mesh on the shoes did not keep out all the sand and I was forced to wear socks in them, still a solid shoe and a recommend if sand is not an issue would be great for walking up a river or hiking through a wet Forrest. Good traction my only real complaint ( the sand thing is not really a complaint) is compared to modern shoes the heel is quite narrow with no stability technology, just a small thing but something I noticed on uneven terrain
Thank you!
I love this shoe for hiking through wet terrain. The only drawback is you need to order a size up if you wear wading socks. They have great traction on slippery rocks! I love the tangerine color! They match my personality!!
Thank you for sharing your feedback!
Took these through the Narrows in Zion for the first test........and they passed. Great shoe. Comfy, rugged, lightweight, and darn if I didn't look good doing it. Thanks Merrell!
We appreciate your review!
I’ve been a fan of Merrill shoes for many years, still wearing a pair for yard work, purchased about eighteen years ago. I made two recent purchases of Merrill shoes; the latest are the Wildwood Aerosport. I’ve only worn them a few times, so I’m still breaking them in. They are light weight and well ventilated to keep my feet cool. I like their look and color and the fact they are fairly easy to slip on, without need for tying laces. I typically purchase a size ten and have a medium width shoe. The last two pair of shoes have both been acceptable in length but the width has been a bit too roomy. However, I am pleased with the Aerosport shoe and will continue future purchases of Merrill shoes, when necessary.
