Comfortable and secure. Good shoe in this range.
Comfortable and secure. Plenty of room in the toe box. My first experience with the BOA dial. I find it easy to get the right tension, and I like the quick release. Easy to get on/off and adjust quickly, which I like as a casual tri-athlete. I find the toe strap essentially useless because its stiff, so its hard to make any meaningful adjustment in either direction. I understand now why reviewers of higher $$ shoes prefer double dials. But I'm happy with my purchase. On a side note, I had a terrible experience with delivery so I don't recommend any purchase from REI that will be shipped by OnTrac.
Instant numbness in toes
These shoes (women) run small and narrow. For the price I was hoping they would’ve worked for me but they don’t. The fit is so snug that it makes my toes sear like they’re on fire and numb. Looking for another pair that feel better for long rides.
Pretty awful, inappropriate for price point
Extremely uncomfortable around front of foot, toes go completely numb and make riding unbearable after 20+ miles. Pretty bad for cold weather too, the shell is thin and your toes will freeze even with wooly socks. If you go back to the Trek store complaining about it they’ll sell you a $40 insole which makes it marginally better. Did not realize how bad they were until I switched bikes with a friend and used an old pair of SIDI shoes. Would rather have bought used shoes of higher quality. Despite the nice quick release this is made of cheap material and is poorly designed. Don’t waste your time on this shoe. I can’t believe they have such good reviews.
Good bike shoe...
There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of choices in bicycle shoes for folks with extra wide feet. But I did find these Bontrager's to be pretty good. They are not only comfortable, but I really like the BOA adjusters. I use them every day.
Reasonable road shoe for people with narrow feet
Fine enough shoe but too narrow. Ends up hurting my foot after an hour or so of riding. I've road various other shoes before (Shimano, Giro, Lake) and never had this problem.
shoes run very small
These shoes look great and seem well made but unfortunately were very small. I usually wear a size 37 but based on reviews ordered these in a 38 and they were still way too small (they felt ok initially but within minutes of riding my big toes were right up against the top and front of the shoe).
Excellent Cycling Shoes
These shoes are a big upgrade over my prior ones. I love the ease of tightening them, and they are super comfortable.
Runs very small
I really wanted these to work but as other reviews have said they run small and are narrow. I usually wear a 37 so given reviews ordered this in a 38 and they were still way too small and narrow, and I have narrow feet. Sadly had to return them.
Awesome cycling shoes.
Great shoes. Lightweight and comfortable. BOA system works well in adjusting tightness. Easy on and off. Bought to wear on Peloton.
