Amazing vest
Amazing vest. Fit is perfect, I wear a size small or medium in Patagonia jackets, in the Rab Microlight jackets, got a medium. I thought the vest would be a bit bulky as the jacket is sized for layers underneath, but this is perfectly trim, suitable with either a thin base layers or a full R1 pullover underneath. Super warm, can’t feel the wind cut through at all. The microlight jacket has been the best thing I ever bought - 6 years of daily winter use and still looks practically new. I expect this will perform the same

I didn't want this. I bought it because we were going on holiday to Switzerland in January and my wife nagged me repeatedly about the shortcomings of the coat I was planning to take. So I bought this just to keep her quiet. One month later and I haven't taken it off since. I am tempted to sleep in it. Warm, lightweight, comfortable and easy to be active in. Pockets are great (big). Zip perfect. Fit is good. I can usually find fault with anything, but I'm struggling here.
Bought this for my other
Bought this for my other half for hiking and exercise outdoors, he would live in it if it was at all acceptable. I bought a size M, he is 5ft8 with an athletic build and it fits snug with enough movement for the arms and hoody layers underneath. It can fit as another layer under a coat too. The neckline can be covered with a full zip to the nose. Excellent quality and exceptionally warm especially if worn beneath another down coat!
Great vest and even better that it was a gift
This vest fits me perfectly. I'm 6 ft 2 and very slender and the medium looks great. Everything seems very high quality from the zippers to the material. I only comment what is it seems to be a bit overstuffed. I have only had it for a few weeks and I have not washed it yet. Pockets are ample sized. I like the Napoleon pocket and it fits my large phone. The vest is warm and very comfortable to wear.
Microlight Down Vest
It's that time of year again when the Microlight Vest becomes pack of the daily packing regime. Wearing it as stand alone on top of base or mid layers off season, as part of layering system for winter. Best for moderate activity as down tends to get a bit damp and compact. Decent value and good warmth for weight ratio. Logos did come off during washing though.
Christmas present for my husband
Christmas present for my husband and he loves it, suitable for now as an extra layer as it isn’t bulky and will be perfect when the weather gets warmer with just a jumper underneath, he also commented on how comfortable the padded neck fitted he says his others all tend to dig in, overall very very pleased.
I bought this in Beluga
I bought this in Beluga for my partners birthday. He was thrilled to bits as he has several Rab gilets in all different colours and weights. It is very comfy, soft and warm and being lightweight is not bulky and can be comfortably worn under a winter jacket. As always a fantastic product from Rab.
Microlite Down Vest- Fit its off?
I ordered a Microlite Vest in size small- That is my usual size. It was so small I could barely get it zipped. I am 5'10 (179cm) and 145 lb (65 kg). I re-ordered in size medium. It fits around the chest, but it is also quite long and funky fitting. I am not pleased with the cut of this vest.
Does what it says on
Does what it says on the tin. Bought to play golf, replacement for worn out vest. Excellent material, well sewn, well designed, light as advertised but not feather light. Haven't worn in cold weather yet, but seems like it will be very warm. Very happy with purchase.
