Marmot  GORE-TEX Mammoth Down Vest - Men's

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Vest is better than expected. Purchased this because I use to own a Mammoth and Yukon but they were always too bulky. The Vest is just perfect fit and well made. I own 2 Marmot Guides Down and a TNF vest and the Mammoth ones blows those away. Better water resistance because of the GoreTex. Will definitely purchase another if they change it up and add a hood. But I can take it or leave it. Its not a deal breaker.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The jacket has plenty of warmth and the Gore-Tex works well. However, the collar is too tight if you’re wearing anything underneath. Also, the pocket design on the outside of the jacket is very poor. The hand warmer pocket opening is so small I could barely get my hand in without a glove, but not with a glove and I am a size 7 1/2 hand. Good. This pocket is also position to far towards the back of the jacket to make it easily accessible. The main vertically oriented pocket is a reasonable size and access.

This vest is awesome. I love how warm and insulated it is and functional. I wear it by over my other coat when it gets really cold and with just a sweater when it's just cool out. The only thing I would say I don't like is the velcro on the storm flap and pockets. I wish it had buttons instead. The velcro catches on everything (gloves, scarves, and my hoodie sleeves) and is shredding the material attached to the zipper.
