I absolutely love this board! Ok well I have last year's but it's the same thing with a different graphic. I can ride faster through deep flat zones then I ever thought was possible. Very agile in the trees and great carving board on groomers that is a dream in the deep stuff. If you like going fast, ripping turns and lightning fast response then buy this board.
To say the XV Sashimi LG by Rossignol is incredible would be a huge understatement. This deck absolutely rocks it! The shape is very progressive and definitely the way the industry should be heading: the nose is slightly wider than the tail which helps keep the nose up in the snow. This board is also slightly stiffer under the front inserts compared to the back so you can put more front-foot weight on the board to attack your line. The LITE Grip technology in the core is INSANELY good! The board is silky smooth under foot and this unique tech adds extra edge hold in icier conditions (no other snowboard does what this board can do). I love the camber too! It has tons of energy, but with the early-rise nose, it is a dream to turn. This is the perfect snowboard for someone that's an intermediate to expert that wants to enjoy powder or get better at groomer turns. I highly recommend!!! I typically ride a 163cm snowboard, but because this model is slightly volume-shifted, I ride the 160cm and LOVE IT!!!
I love having this board in my quiver...very lively and surfy...rails carves and eats up variable natural terrain and chunder, tree runs, drops, jumps...basically fun on everything but ice. Couldnt get the Sushi but very happy with the Sashimi
This board is super fun on a nice powder day. Anything of a few inches or more and you’re going to have a blast. Heavy, wet snow is a little bit of a stretch. It does punch through crud really easily, though.
The sashimi is a must have for any riders quiver. This thing not only destroys powder but will also hold steady while you are bombing the hill during those early morning groomer runs.
