Experienced snowboarder and carver. First new board in 20 years. Restarting after 10 years off. I’m 57, athletic, 220 lbs. Riding a 21” stance, 20 front, 16 rear, set back about 4” from center. Using Nidecker Supermatic LC Step-On bindings. Several days at Mont Tremblant on groomed and semi-groomed trails. This board holds turns extremely well. Really rewards smooth movement and flow with acceleration. Directional freeride shape. Softer overall flex, but stiffer nose and tail. Wider tip. Nose rocker bites into turns nicely, and the stubby stiff rear end lets you sit back and carve big arcs. Still quick edge-to-edge too. Not a dead plank. Also noticeably lighter than my old 174 K2 Eldorados. Easy to handle, easy to brake, easy to pick up out of the snow. Lots of inserts, so you can mount bindings waaay back. Nice option on a board like this. Looks much better in person than online. Subtle graphics. Cool multi-coloured inset edge. Very clean look, even if white is always a bit risky. Only negative so far: I chipped the leading edge somehow. Fixed with Gorilla Glue. Fine now. Still, I kind of miss old-school edge protectors. Overall, super happy with this board. Great carving feel. Great way to get the joy back.
I ordered this board in December and wanted to try it a few times before leaving a review. It turned out to be exactly what I was looking for—such a fun board to ride! It offers great stability, smooth turns and an overall very fluid feel. I’d say I’m somewhere between intermediate and advanced, and I’m really satisfied with its performance. I’ve tested it in the Canadian Rockies on groomed, semi-groomed, and powder trails, and it handled all conditions really well. I also love the "colours" and the design—simple and clean. The only downside for me was the lack of sizing information on Salomon’s website. The only way to determine the right size for me was to see the board in-store, since the size and weight specifications are printed underneath it. Salomon wasn’t very helpful with this—that’s why I’m giving it a 4 out of 5. I’ve attached a photo to help others make a more informed decision.

This board was a surprise. From the initial looks you can guess how directional it is, but riding has been more interesting. First thing that stood out is how this tail shape finishes a turn. You can fly out of a turn! The flex is more balanced than I thought it would be & feels like it helps to make it more versatile. The float is crazy (given the width) and hyped on the new base material.
I’ve been riding and training instructors for 40 seasons (winter and summer), and this is one of only a few boards that I’ve ridden that can truly excel for riding while teaching beginners up to advanced riders. Easy to ride, yet with input, carves super well, with a perfect flex pattern. Definitely goes into my all-time top 10!
Eveytime I ride a Salomon board I am thouroughly impressed! But every time I’m interested in the boards I am really let down by the information on the site. I think a lot more people would be interested in buying boards with better support for research and context. This board looks like it could be amazing for where I ride!
How can you forget size specs on you site? what kind of company are you?
Shape turns, comfy, practical and holds value. Thanks
