REI Co-op  Take Your Time 7/8 Leggings - Women's

Wanted to try the light Larkspur color and was very impressed with the softness and quality of the Take Your Time 7/8 Leggings. The material is thin and you can see some underwear lines, but it does feel supportive and I feel comfortable wearing these out. I am 5'7'', 26'' waist, 33'' hip and got the small. The XS just felt a little bit tighter, not a huge difference, but saw more underwear lines. They are pretty long. Pocket fits my giant phone. Wearing with the size 3X top for color matching comparison. Happy to find these!

The fabric is super soft, thin (not see-thru), and stretchy. I bought size Large which is my normal REI size. The high rise keeps these super stretchy leggings keep them in place. My reason for 3 starts instead of 5 stars is the unusual shaping at the bottom. I'm 5'5" and the ankle area is a bit baggy. The bottom opening is nice and tight, but it is clearly shaped to go over the calf at 7/8 length. For my height is was a full length legging and the baggy area was distracting when I walked in them. When I pulled the leg up a couple inches it fit great, but alas, I cannot make myself taller.

First, the other reviews about how soft and comfortable these leggings are are spot on. I loved them. But I noticed the first time I wore them that the stitching in the thigh was already coming out. Asked for a replacement pair, which REI immediately provided, but the stitching problem was even worse. After two different pairs, I called it quits. I hope REI approved quality control on these because they are so comfortable and soft. I wanted them to work!

These are the best leggings I have ever worn. Nothing else compares. They last a long time, have minimal pilling unless worn A LOT (which I have) and it's mostly just in the crotch area and not noticeable. They hide cellulite and sweat, are flattering, go up high enough, have fantastic pockets, stay up on my small waist and bigger hips, wick sweat, the same pairs fit when I am 130 lbs or 160 lbs, are great as either "nice" leggings or hiking/camping/traveling/literally anything. I have multiple pairs and I scour the internet weekly for used ones in black in my size, small. PLEASE BRING THEM BACK (in black).

Pros: These leggings are probably the softest ones I own. I LOVE lounging around in them (especially during this stay at home time). They are so light and stretchy that it feels like I’m not wearing pants! Cons: After bending down enough times, the waist part starts to slip down. Could be my body type, but my only real con. As a note, I would probably only wear these for lounging, running errands, and maybe running in the neighborhood. I have not tested them on the trails yet, but I would be interested to see what would happened. I am 5’2” and 140 pounds, and I got a medium. These are hit perfectly at my ankle even though these are not “petite” I love the length!

I love these for how cute and soft they are, but these are absolutely not worth the money. The stitching is terrible quality, they arrived with a hole and are completely coming apart at the seams after washing them before first wear. I would not recommend these for the price at all.

As a curvier girl I’ve always struggled with athletic pants that didn’t turn out to be see through and would actually look good and hold up over time and these pants are PERFECT. I have had the black ones for about 6 months and wear them at least twice a week and they are still going strong (some pulling in the upper inner thigh area but that’s always expected). Ive worn more expensive brands like prana but they always tore on the inner thigh within 4 months so these are well worth it. I just got the gray color in and love it as well. It’s not see through either which always happens with colored athletic wear for me! 10/10 would recommend to everyone and pray rei never stops making these

Apparently all of my years of cheaping out on leggings have kept me from understanding what people mean when they talk about “buttery soft” leggings. These are amazing. They are, in fact, buttery soft, with nice big pockets and a wonderful seamless waistband that is very kind to my postpartum tummy. I haven’t tried these in the gym yet, but they are top notch for couch lounging and toddler chasing! I bought them in black, which I will note is not the darkest black ever and almost reads charcoal gray, but definitely not mad at it. I can’t believe these are being discontinued and I’ll be buying a few more pairs to stash away so I’m set for life lol. Get these leggings!

Normally in anything REI co-op i size down, but these were too small and I had to end up size up (in comparison to other co op items). I didn't realize 7/8 meant they weren't full length, but they will do, they come a little above the ankle but I'm totally fine with that. they are super soft I'm going to try them out climbing. I got the yellow and it's a pretty... intense? yellow. it's mustard... but to be fair, I'm used to wearing black so any kind of color feels a little intense to me LOL but if you're looking for mustard this is absolutely it the color itself I do enjoy I'm just getting used to it on me:) I'm 130lbs, 5'10, ordered and xs going to try a small... might even need a med?

I am in love with these leggings for so many reasons. Nice high waistband that holds you in. Buttery soft and incredibly stretchy fabric that keeps its shape. Deep side pockets. Amazing flat cuffs, almost like they are taped/welded??? These fit true to size - I am 5’3”, 150#, bought my usual size (M), very happy with the fit. My only complaint is that this beautiful fabric started to pill in the crotch area after just 2-3 wears. If your legs rub together when you walk, expect that these pants will not stay beautiful for long. That is my reason for not giving 5 stars.
