Obsessed with the thyme color
I am 5’3” and a true pear shaped gal. I have pretty long legs for a short person, and zero torso. I do love the way these leggings feel (AND POCKETS which are mandatory for me these days). I also adore the thyme color!!! I wish the sculpt and heavana leggings came in this color. The waist does not ride down during down dog for me, but it is a little loose and might do so after stretching out with wear. I could not size down due to my butt size. Cons for me: a touch bit of camel toe (likely due to my giant butt) and very visible belly button divot. I don’t get either of these with the sculpt or heavana materials. I love the color so much that I’m keeping them anyway!!!
Underwear outline clear as day
Such a beautiful color and nice light material, I was sad to return these for 2 reasons: 1) you could see the outline of my underwear entirely in the front and back, seams and lace and all 2) The waistband is extra tall in the back and the seam where it meets the pants goes across the top of your butt -this has the effect of making your butt look flat/smaller. I don't know if sizing up would help with the underwear lines, I'm 5'6" and 130lbs, 29" waist and 39" hips and ordered a small.
Snug and hold up well
Runs a little small, so if you're between sizes, definitely size up. I'm 5'2" and ~114 pounds and the small is snug. An XS would have been uncomfortable. These hold up during Vinyasa classes with minimal adjusting. Love the high waist. I went on a long-ish run in these and though I was comfy the whole time, they absolutely did not pass the sweat test. The color is the turmeric/golden yellow. Looked like I had wet myself, but that was the only thing. I've washed and dried these in a dryer, and all is well. Retained the shape. The pockets are deep
Great sizing but sizing is way off!
Great for lounging, yoga or a walk. Love the feel and the fact that they have pockets, although they could sit a little lower, right now if my phone is in my pocket and I squat it sticks out funny around my hip (but the phone stays in the pocket, no problem). However, sizing is WAY off! I have a few pairs of Prana leggings and I always buy a Small, this time based on reviews I decided to go with a Medium and they're smaller than any other Prana leggings that I own! See picture (the black ones are a Small, the brown ones are the Luxara in Medium). I tried a Large but the stick out around my waist and at the bottom of my calves, so I chose to return them and keep the Medium even though they feel a little tight. It's a shame that the sizing is so inconsistent.
Love these leggings!
I’m 5’ 3” and 115 lbs. I wear a 25 in jeans, and I really do NOT like my leggings tight around my waist and generally don’t like high rises. However, the waistband on these is wide and extremely comfortable. I bought them in a size small because I like my leggings to be a little less fitted. I probably could’ve worn an extra-small but I’m happy with the Small. The chocolate brown color is really beautiful. They are long but I rolled them at the ankle. The fabric feels almost identical to the Athleta Salutation leggings. I love these leggings they are really comfortable. The pockets are high but I think they look good being a bit higher. I will definitely be getting more. I do wish the pocket version came in a 7/8 length.
Fashion NOT function
Everything changed with these leggings and not for the better. I’m 5’9 and 165 and normally get a large in all of my Prana leggings. Surprisingly, a large was extremely restrictive. There’s no give to the fabric at all in areas where it can bunch (back of the knee in lunges, waistline area when in down dog..) — these were the most uncomfortable leggings that I’ve ever practiced yoga in. I was constantly fidgeting trying to ease pain points from the fabric cutting in. Pretty color at least, but they'll only be used for dog walks now.
Super tight but don't stay put
When tried these on the first thing I noticed was how tight they were. They have serious compression to them. They did pass the bend over test, huzzah! So I decided to give them a try even though the mega compression made them not all day wear worthy. I hoped they would stay put during a workout. I wore them during a quick yoga session and the waist rolled down. I wore them to orangetheory and the waist again had me readjusting throughout class. Sadly, it's hard to find leggings that aren't see through and stay put.
Waist Rolls Down- Annoying for Yoga Practice
Look nice for walking etc but not practical for yoga for me personally. Thank goodness I tried these out for yoga at home before the studio. I had to change out of them 5 minutes into my practice because the waist kept rolling down. I tried it at several different heights (i.e at my belly button, slightly above, slightly below) to see if that might fix it but to no avail. I am bummed because I bought these to try in hot yoga but I’m not going to go through the annoyance of unrolling them every posture.
Great fabric- waist band sinks down during activity
I got the pocket version after loving my non pocket luxara's. My non pocket ones have a softer fabric, and i'm not sure if that's because they changed the fabric or the mulberry color is not as soft as the dark iron. but i LOVE the dark iron fabric-- it is so soft and can be work under jeans as an extra layer. or just for yoga. I do find that I have to pull the waist band up during yoga practice as it sinks down a little during activity. I'm 5'3; 110; xs
You need these for hot yoga
I started hot yoga in 2024. I'm already a sweaty person- like SO sweaty. My tried and trusted leggings for weightlifting, crossfit, and running just couldn't hang in the studio. They were drenched, I was unhappy. So I figured, Prana does yoga. YEP. Immediate relief in my next class. I have no complaints. I love these leggings. I'm so grateful to Prana for making gear that is truly meant for the activity it's designed for, if that makes sense.
