Purchased the combo for motorcycle camping. I love that it collapses to barely 2" high. The pan stores directly under the pot. And I was even able to store my collapsible bowls inside the pot with the lid on. The pot is a great size for making pasta. Bowls water quickly. Both are non stick and easy to clean. Would highly recommend and have already told other campers about this item.
I bought this set primarily as a second pot and pan to use with my Jetboil Genesis stove and cookware combo. I really like the compactness and nesting ability of the two pieces. What’s more, my Sea to Summit collapsible kettle and pour over coffee rig nest right inside the GSI pot. If I leave out the stove’s propane regulator, I can just squeeze the GSI combo inside the Genesis case with that equipment. For cooking, it does a great job. The pot is efficient and boils plenty of water for pasta. The intuitive design of the lid allows you to strain boiling water without additional hand protection. The pan does a great job with basics like sausage and eggs, but if I’m going to do a real sauté, I’ll pull out a cast iron skillet. I have similar pots from Sea to Summit, which I’ve always liked, but I’ve liked the GSI better since getting and using it. The aluminum lid is much more durable than the plastic lids from S2S. Though I haven’t hiked with it yet, I can easily see adding this set to my pack to use in conjunction with a Jetboil PCS and pot support. It won’t take up a lot of space and it’s light for what you’re carrying. I think GSI did a great job with this combo!
Somewhat irritating, the silicone seems to have melted or separated from the base plate on the last "real life" image of your advert._x000D_ Is this a coincidence or do we need to watch out for too much heat when cooking?
Easy to clean it, compact stuff with a frypan. We love it.
