Great little cookset for minimalists or ultralighters. Made of lightweight aluminum which heats more evenly, holds heat longer, no hot spots and won’t bend as easily as the super thin titanium cups. Includes koozy which titanium cups do not come with, also flip the lid and you can cook with it on, just watch that your stove flames don’t creep up the side of the cup. For a couple more ounces in weight, for the benefits it’s worth it. I wouldn’t use the included spork, it will scratch and is hard to clean on the trail (AT). I’ve had many titanium cups (MSR, Snow Peak, Toaks)- but this one performs better and the kit is well thought out.
I’ve used this for several trips, both solo and duo, and it’s great. It has just the perfect volume for coffee, oatmeal, mountain house type foods, etc. Though I could, I never put any food in it, just use it to boil water and for drinking coffee. Within the pot, I can stow fuel canister, a lighter and the rubber grip. Within the bag that comes with it, I stow my pocket rocket, tin windbreak and titanium spoon..with room to spare. Nice, lightweight and compact package. The rubber lid can be tough to remove right after a boil, so I don’t always put it on super tight unless I’m drinking coffee. If you do, you just sort of screw it off and that works. The foam insulator is good for handling when hot….just don’t forget to remove it before you put it on the burner. I wouldn’t use anything else.
I love this so much that sometimes like now, I look for it to make sure it’s still available and consider buying a backup. I’ve had mine for probably 15ish years. Use it for everything from coffee, Mountain House meals to evening cocktails around the fire. It’s perfect in every way.
I really like this little pot/ cup. It's the perfect size to boil water for all my back country food. Which is mostly mountain house, Ramon noodles and oatmeal. Then it makes the perfect coffee mug with a top so I don't spill coffee in my hammock. The neoprene insulation works great just don't set it too close to the fire. The heat will warp it.
I love this product so much! I was able to boil water, cook food, and use it as a mug. It has so much variability and it comes with great items too (a mini floon, a micro gripper to pick up the little pot, and a cuzzi to hold the hot pot (make sure to not burn the cuzzi on the stove!))
I spent over a year looking at reviews and testing friend’s cooking kits and when it came down to it this system was the lightest, most compact and efficient I could build. Saving me money, space AND ounces. I’ve been running this since 2011 and never once have been sorry!
This product worked great for me to boil water for Coffee and my oatmeal every morning at base camp during elk season. It was small and light enough i took it during our day hunts and made a Cup of afternoon coffee on the mountain and I Could not be happier.
Have had this since highschool and its been beaten and tested ever since. After 4 years, the outside sleeve is starting to wear but it still works as good as new. Best system I ever seen.
This is the perfect size for me. I needed/wanted the lightest little cup that was versatile for anything and everything. This cup has withstand fondue with the kids and much more.
Lightweight and perfect for a dual cooking and eating/drinking dish for minimalist backpackers. Insulated sleeve is great for using after cooking for instant holding.
