Best I've ever had

I've become a real junkie for bike bags and gear these past couple years, and I can say that these are one of the first bags I've bought and so far, by far, the best. I have had them for close to a year and use them very regularly, they are very light when I need them to be but also can take a lot of weight and weathering. I spilled pickled radish juice inside one today and it is so extremely waterproof that I was able to wash it inside and out for aesthetic purposes. The hooks take some getting used to but with patience will hold the panniers in place if you decide to take them on unpaved trails. A well made product, would buy again but I will probably never need to.

Light and Decent Size

I'm writing this review in repose to the people who say these panniers are "too small", as these reviews almost convinced me to not get them. Obviously, it will depend on your use case - but I've taken them on two weekend [summer] camping trips so far, where I've carried my 2p tent, my [limited] clothes, a chair, a book, some tools, food, and cooking kit in these panniers (sleeping bag/pad/pillow on handlebars), with room to spare. If I do a colder weather trip where I need more room, I can ride the tent on my rack and carry warmer clothes. I'm planning a ten-day trip later in the summer with the same set up, and convinced they're big enough for my needs. I'm glad I wasn't scared off by the "too small" reviews. They're a nice concise size, and so much lighter than the backrollers.

Commuting is amazing

Traded my bike packing bags for these particular panniers - specifically for commuting back and forth to work. The total.mileage is 25 miles per day. In addition to commuting in snow, heavy rain, and sleet - with the occasional bump into non moving objects - it has gone on several bike packing adventures in the same inclement weather. The bags are brilliant - relatively light, easily detachable (Salsa down under rack), completely waterproof, and inconspicuous. I wouldn't recommend for water crossings as they're low hanging, but everything else they're close to perfect -

Ortlieb Gravel-Pack Panniers

I've waited years for someone to develop panniers that weren't too bulky, heavy and difficult to deal with. These are the perfect size for my needs. I mainly do one day excursions, that involve off road biking, and trips to the beach. These panniers are perfect! They hold my stove for early morning coffee, a chair, a small soft ice chest, food, light jacket, etc. These are extremely well made, and don't have any interior pockets, zippers, or anything that would make you unpack your gear to get at. I use a rack pack for my small items that need to be easily obtainable. The two features of these I love, are the two adjustable clips that attach to the rack, that become part of the bike. I have never had these move or come off on any trail! The second feature are the handles that release the mechanism to remove these from the rack. Literally takes two seconds to remove, and the handles allow you to hang them from a tree branch, to keep ants and other critters away. The material is waterproof, and very easy to clean. These panniers will also work for 2-3 day trips, providing you pack like you would your backpack. Couldn't be happier with these, and was worth every penny!

Good until they ripped

I love ortlib products and will continue to buy them. They make the best panniers. I have been using the backroller classics for 10 years. No issues. They Took the abuse. Never ripped. I bought these gravel panniers to save weight. They ripped camping at a Park. They are 2 months old. Haven't even toured with them. Returned them for the traditional and durable ortlib sport roller classics.

perfect fit for a Radrover!

Wow, these Panniers fit my new Radrover 5 rack perfectly. No adaptor clips needed. Mount solid and look amazing. Seriously, Radrover should offer these as an accessory with the way they fit their rack and match the colors of the black/gray bike with orange accents. I love the smaller size. Note these are 12.5L each, roughly 1/2 the size of the typical full size Pannier. Exactly what is was looking for. Great looking and nice quality.

Easy gear hauling!

This is a great set of panniers. Super easy to get on and off my bike rack. Keeps everything dry. Too small to carry a 14" Chromebook.

Panniers perfect for Catrike Expedition

Gravel Pack Panniers are perfect addition to Catrike custom panniers, making total volume just right for trikepacking. They fit nicely on the rear rick and are a compact rectangular shape for holding my camping gear. The roll top feature is very nice because the straps are fore-and-aft, with a small top strap. There aren't straps flapping in the wind like my old panniers. Overall, a great product.

I wanted a pair of front paniers. These happened to be the only ones in the store that day. I’m glad I purchased them. They hold on well-stay secure and my stuffs dry. The material has a warranty and orlieb makes great stuff.

Nice Paniers

These Paniers were very easy to fit to our rear racks. Very easy to attach and remove from the racks. We have only used them on day trips so far give the Covid limitations. We are expecting to do longer bike packing trips once the Covid clears and will be able to give a more robust review after a couple of trips.
