I bought this for our travels and daily walks with the dog. It is comfortable and not too hot. I did need to buy a size larger than my normal because I wanted room to layer underneath.

This is the best hard shell ever! Seriously. Breathable yet feels really sturdy. I bought this for a ski trip in Banff to wear over my down midlayer and it was perfect! Totally stopped all the wind and kept my down layer protected and kept me dry. The hood fit over my ski helmet perfectly and blocked the back draft down my neck. I also use this piece as my everyday rain jacket and the hood perfectly cinches so that it doesn't feel huge on my head. Love the pit zips too so it doesn't get too hot if you're active in the jacket. Also all zippers are water proof and the sleeves are a good length. Longer than most, but adjustable at the cuff so you can tighten where you need to. I love to watch the rain beed up and roll right off this jacket. My sister borrows mine all the time and is about to buy her own because she loves it so much too! Could not recommend enough!!! I am 5'6", 125lbs and a small fits great.

I love my Beta, it is my go to hardshell jacket. I have climbed, hiked, and even skied in it. It is so light weight and very packable.its gone with me on all my expeditions Its not as durable, but thats the trade off you get. The light weight it is the less durable it will be. If you're looking for a light weight all around jacket this is perfect, just don't expect it to hold up if you're going through trees.
