Amazing for Iceland

Wore it to Iceland. Experienced all-day raining and strong wind. Beta jacket definitely kept me warm and dry

Surprisingly flattering color!

It’s a unique lilac pink. I always trust buying from REI —the details speak for themselves, and it’s definitely authentic.

Runs small, but the best jacket

I have been lucky enough to have multiple styles of Arc'teryx rain jackets (among other products). These rain jackets are the best out there in terms of water repellency. The Beta is breathable and good for varying weather conditions. It is light weight and highly packable. Size wise I will say that their jackets run quite small. I am typically a size 8 or 10 across the board, athletic build, 34DD, and 5'4". I purchased an XL in this jacket to make sure I could fit layers underneath. A photo is attached. I have the Beta AR in a size medium and it is snug across my hips - I can only fit a thin layer underneath. Very excited to have the larger size in the Beta to have options of what to wear underneath. It is a great jacket, but I would like to see them develop more inclusive sizing.

Lossens waterproofing after a few years.

I own my beta lt since 2021. i love the comfort and breathability. It futs quite narrow so as a 1,80m/65kg women i took a size s but would have appreciated more size m for putting a woolen pullover under it. Unfortunately it lost its waterproofing a year ago. Now i still use it for biking daily but my shoulders and arms get wet always. I never wear a backpack with it, so that can’t be the problem.

Hello Flora, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with your Beta LT. We're glad to hear it’s been a comfortable and breathable companion since 2021. We're sorry to hear that the waterproofing has diminished over the past year — that’s understandably disappointing, especially since you’re still using it daily for biking. A wash followed by a tumble‑dry can often help reactivate the DWR finish and improve water beading on the surface. If you’ve already tried that, or if the issue persists afterward, we recommend reaching out to our team through a Product Service Request form so they can take a closer look and assess the jacket in more detail. https://arcteryx.com/ca/en/help/product-service/service-request

Superb all rounder, great fit!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It took me ages to decide to buy this jacket, it sold out many times during my deliberations. I finally committed to the purchase. I needed a reliable waterproof jacket which wasn’t form fitting, without the usual female form fitting seams hugging the waist. It’s really comfortable with just a t-shirt or with mid layers etc. The feature I love the most is the adjustable Velcro on the wrists. The pockets are practical, adjustable drawcords in all the rights places. I won’t be using this with a helmet so I found the hood size good. I really appreciate it being PFC free too.

Functional but not pretty

I bought the Beta jacket in "Fortune". Navy onscreen it turned out to be a disappointing dark grey. I made do because I'd already returned the onscreen red that turned out to be brown. I don't know why Arcteryx cannot get onscreen colours right. So many other websites manage it but if that's too big of an ask, could we please get descriptions of the colours ordinary humans can understand, i.e. fortune = dark grey. I'd also really appreciate some bright, warm colours.

Hi there, we appreciate your feedback and will pass this along to our team for review. It is pretty common for colours to show up differently on the website as the shade seen is dependent on screen brightness, monitor settings, and natural lighting. These factors can affect the brightness of colour observed on the website.

Pretty coat, but runs large

This raincoat is truly light weight. It was important to me that it have an inside waterproof pocket, which is difficult to find in other rain coats. The color is more lavender than pink, but it’s flattering. I considered exchanging it for a smaller size because it runs very large. I have long arms and even the sleeves are long on me. But it’s not available in a smaller size anymore and it will be good to be able to wear a down vest or jacket under it.

Excellent Daybreak beta jacket

The Daybreak's color scheme for the assault jacket is excellent, combining practicality with style. The choice of hues not only enhances visibility but also adds a touch of sophistication to the design. It strikes a perfect balance between functionality and aesthetics, making it both eye-catching and suitable for various outdoor activities. Overall, it's a well-executed palette that elevates the appeal of the jacket.

Exceptional Performance and Style

I love the sleek and stylish design, which makes it versatile enough to wear both on the trails and in the city. The high-quality zippers, adjustable hood, and well-placed pockets add to the jacket’s functionality. If you’re looking for a premium shell that combines performance, durability, and style, this is the one to get. Highly recommended!

Hiking Essential: Fit, Comfort, Protection.

The Arc’teryx Beta Jacket (Women’s, Blaze) is perfect for hiking. Waterproof, windproof, and breathable, it keeps me dry while allowing room for insulating layers underneath. The fit is comfortable with a backpack, and the adjustable hood and pockets are practical. Durable, stylish, and worth it for serious trail enthusiasts.
