Bomb Proof in the mountains
Yes , I recommend this product
I wanted a very durable, weatherproof, all mountain jacket and that is what I found in this one. The streamline simple design is highly functional. I mostly use it to ski and backcountry tour. It’s lighter than previous vortex and makes less noise. The fit is a little on the larger side but makes it great for layering with insulation. I love the new colour, can’t remember name but looks deep purple. I’m very satisfied so far with the overall quality. It does have a heavy price tag so I suppose the expectation is that it should perform and last.

I purchased this jacket to get me through a hybrid of activities - I wanted a heavier duty, technical shell for ski touring, but still be useful in the summer for hiking and still look good for wearing around town in between. I typically wear a small in most things (4-6 in lulu tops), and while the small in store felt and looked great even over my Atom jacket, I sized up to a medium just for the extra mobility and layering options. We'll see how it holds up to the test of time as I'm quite hard on my things, but so far I'm happy with it as a replacement for my 12 year old Beta.

Love this jacket so far. the length is perfect for ski touring and snowshoeing. My hands get really cold and I like that the zippers do not stick at and easy to use. I’m 5’6, bought a size small. A little roomy, but perfect for layering. I’m really happy with my purchase.
