Hard to open

Like another reviewer said, the pack has great construction, and I love using it directly mounted to my top tube with the water bottle bosses. However when both zippers pulls are at the “bottom” of the pack (closest to the seat tube) it’s difficult to open, especially one handed. Not an issue if quick access isn’t a huge priority.

didn't fit my bike

I bought a Salsa Journeyman (which has mounting points on the top tube) and thought this would be a great accessory. After trying to fit it I found the bottom holes were punched to far back, pushing the front of the bag into the steering stem, losing interior space, making the front of the zipper unusable and negating having a bag without straps. Rather than punching new holes in an expensive bag, I just returned it. I know this works on other Salsa bikes, but not mine.

Hard to use

The materials and workmanship are great. Really nice looking quality pack. Problem is, it’s hard to open one-handed which is the key to any good top tube pack. The material is too soft to hold its shape and bends when you pull back on the zipper. I had to stop and use both hands every time I opened it. I returned the pack.

This bag is larger than some others, which is good for caring a bunch of food. However its girth means it rubs against your legs. As been mentioned before, the top of the bag doesn't fit tightly against the head tube so the upper zipper just bites fabric when you try to use it while riding. The lower zipper works fine.

Great Bag, Easy access

Great holder for food, phone, and small essentials. High quality build and fabric. I can open one handed, access things, and zip it closed easily.
