Super nice cycling socks
I never owned real cycling socks before and hesitated spending $15 on a pair. But I ended up giving them a try and after a couple of rides I went back and bought 3 more pairs. Very comfortable, quite thing, slick enough for shoes to glide of any pressure point and prevent blistering.
Failed On First Ride
Not for me. Both socks split at the big toe in the same place on the first ride out. They felt great and I wanted to like them, but back they go.
smartwool fan and first time being disappointed
sock is serperating at the toe. the red is pulling away from the gray part of the sock
We have and will continue to buy Smartwool socks
We have used Smartwool socks for years now and have been very pleased with the socks; function, fit and comfort. I work as a nurse in an OR and I'm hard on socks but the Smartwool brand has held up better than other brands and remain comfortable.
Best socks ever!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These socks are my favorite! I have 12 pairs now. Great for both work and play!!
Bicycle rider
I'm a long time Smartwool user, I picked these up just for riding my bicycle. They are just the right height, nice and thin great for summer time riding.
Perfect
Not to thick, not to thin, wicks well am I don't get hotspot or blisters because of them. What's not to like?
Cool and comfortable
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love these socks! They have a nice, snug fit and do not move at all. They do not stick to your skin, or the inside of the shoe, they are "active". Even on a hot day, they feel cool when I take my shoes off. They are super thin, and are good if you are avoiding bulkiness. They do not itch. The only Issues I had, is when I first put them on, they were a little tight in the arch, but they loosened up. I bought three pair, and one sock had a seam on the toe open up after only a couple of wearings. I sent and email with a photo to customer service, and they sent me a new pair by FedEx right away - great service! One bit of advice: I have US size 11.5/12 feet and ordered XL, but they just fit. If you have feet larger than that, they may fit small.
Best speed skating sock
I have bought a dozen pairs of high end socks for speed skating (sorry cyclists) and this is the only one that works consistently. Not everybody wears socks in skates but many of us do. Super comfortable and light enough to fit inside a tight formed performance skate. The clincher - they don't come down while skating - no other sock purchased to date passes this test. If it were specially made for my sport with more padding or a second layer for blister control around (just) the ankle it would get a 5.
Super Comfy
Yes the socks are a little more expensive than some cheaper options, but these are super comfy, and tough. They've held up great, and I don't notice a difference from when I first bought them.
