Worth it.

I bought my first pair of quality socks a couple years ago. I had been a hold out for years thinking that there cant be that much difference in socks to justify the premium price over big box store socks. I was wrong. I have now almost completely replaced all of my socks. I wouldn't bike without them.

Excellent sock for the bike

Thin, sturdy, comfy! Ankles have just the right amount of elasticity. Wool is the best!

Favorite Socks

Smartwool's Zero Cushion are my favorite socks because of the thinness and they are available in XL (I wear a 14 shoe). That's important when your foot could probably use a 14 1/2, but that's never an option. And while I used to think socks needed to provide padding, I've learned that's not necessarily the case.

A little thinner than previous versions

I bought these hoping they were exactly the same as other Smartwool ankle socks I own, but they are thinner. They are nice and I will certainly wear them, I was just a little disappointed that they do not have as much cushion as previous versions so my bike shoes feel a little sloppier with these on and I don't like having to adjust every strap on my shoes every time I switch socks.

Smartwool Socks Rock

I love these socks for the summer. With natural wool, they keep your feet cool and dry in the hot summer months. Also, without padding they allow my feet to swell in my shoes preventing some of the painful hotspots I developed on longer rides in the past.

I originally bought these socks for mountain biking. I quickly realized that they are a great lightweight daily sock.

Wear. Air. Repeat.

Perfect biking sock and generalizes well to EDW—everyday wear. Really can rotate two pair for a week, if you let them air out clothes pinned to your brake lever cables overnight and sun-and- wind wash them next day’s ride stuck under a bungee on top of your rear rack (flip over mid day).
