Smartwool  Bike Zero Cushion Crew Socks - Men's

I had two pairs of these awesome socks while cycling over in Sardinia, Sicily and Italy proper along with one other brand. Extensive touring with being in the saddle for 5 to 8 hour days. Hand washing only. They were hands-down superior to the one other pair of Rapha Graphic that I took along for their bright orange color, eventually stretched out… to this day some 2 months following by return I still wear them with excellent venous return due to their superior support.

I have too many pairs of these socks to count! They are my everyday socks as week as part of my hiking sock system. When my oldest pairs started wearing thin I decided to stock up so I wouldn't run out. That was a mistake! The new version is a DISASTER! The logo stitched to the bottom is irritating and the tops are just enough shorter to make them less versatile. Also, the new fabric does not feel as good as the previous fabric. I'm glad I have enough unused pairs left to get me through the time it will take to find a new go-to sock. I am very disappointed that these socks are no longer my go-to sock. Smartwool, please bring back to previous version/design!!!

Super comfortable and soft. Feels substantial to my hand and of a high quality. I'm happy with the purchase. I wear a size 8.5 and got the medium - they feel like a good fit.

I loved my previous pair of liners from Smartwool, they were starting to wear down in a few areas so I wanted another pair. I wear them under another pair of hiking socks to help prevent blisters. I don't know who thought a logo on the base of the sock would be a good idea. I now get a wonderful hotspot/blister in the shape of the logo on the bottom of my foot. This defeats the purpose of the liner. I love other smartwool socks and products but will not buy another liner sock until they change the design (ie. put the logo on the top/calf section). They also tend to fall down my leg more than the previous design.

So, been wearing Smartwool socks forever for everything except cycling and always loved them. I did wear the synthetic stuff on the bike, just because. Also, I always had the dreaded ""hot spot"" on the balls of my feet after 3 or so hours on the bike. Like BAD hot spots. Changed shoes, changed pedals, repositioned cleats and a bunch of other stuff. Nothing worked. One day I had an opportunity to wear some Smartwool cycling socks so I did. Guess what? NO hot spots! Not kidding. Been on 6+ hour rides. No hot spots. It all about wool regulating temperature or whatever. They are fantastic on the bike!

Developed a hole after just three short rides (~25 miles), really disappointed with the quality.

I have used this simple liner for years. . . back to when it was 64wool/34/2. Tolerated the decrease to 59% wool. i am a nurse so on my feet all day, no blisters, no smell. . go home and go for an evening walk in my boots with the same socks. They have worn well, would have bought them til I die. However, you messed with a good thing, the last 6 I bought no longer wear as well. Developed holes fairly quickly. Then you added the bottom logo which is annoying and so I can no longer use these. Please, consider going back to your original sock. I WAS SOOOO happy with them.

I love these! They're soft and moisture-wicking, comfortable for 5 hours rides (and even just walking around the house afterwards). They stay up well on my large calves too.

Like others, I am so disappointed in the new version of the smart wool liner sock. The big change that has not been mentioned is that the sock is no longer 100% merino wool. It now contains nylon which makes it thicker, scratchier and less comfortable. I agree with a previous comment that the thick smart wool letters on the bottom of the socks is unnecessary and the tops are too tight. Like others, my old version lasted for years. I guess nylon is cheaper than wool so a great product is now ruined. Ironically, the new version is not cheaper.

Cycling uses feet and legs continuous. Good sox are as important as most any other part of the bicycle! These are top notch. Very comfortable and great in hot weather!
