Smartwool Bike Socks XL Unisex – this sizing must be a joke. These socks are unbelievably small. I couldn’t even fit my hand into them, never mind a foot. I’m a medium-size woman, and there is no way these would fit me. I actually bought them for my husband, who is very slim and tall, wears size 34 pants, and even for him these look like they’re made for a child. Calling these “XL” is completely misleading. They are not wearable for an average adult, whether male or female. Very disappointing and a total waste of money.

I've been wearing Smartwool socks for decades, so I'm surprised how they can mess up the sizing. These socks definitely run small. The size chart says the large socks should fit up to a 11.5 shoe, but my 9.5 foot maxes them out. At the closeout price, these socks are an ok value, but a ripoff at full price.
