There is a lot of good here...the build quality is very good, the focus knob is excellent, overall size/weight is nice, ergonomics are solid, and daytime viewing is very good (although not as bright/crisp as I expected). However there are a couple of small problems, and one big problem. The small problems are, for 1, that the shape is not quite ideal. I found it difficult to get a really good "sweet spot"; i.e. the point where the two lenses merge together just-right. Also, I don't think these have thick enough rubber. Rubber is an important part of binoculars...not only does it improve grip/ergonomics but it also adds image-stabilization because it absorbs some of the vibration from your hands. The main problem though is that, for night use, these were flat out NOT GOOD. Like, shockingly not good. I was using these to look at a full moon and there were halos around the moon as well as other annoying lens-flares. I mean, for how much these cost that is completely unacceptable and was a definite deal-breaker for me. I ended up returning these, and since the Nikon 7S's (10x42) were on sale I decided to give them a shot and those are very nice. They are more expensive and a little bigger but man, they have a nice thick layer of rubber, super clear/bright lenses, they work great at night when viewing the moon or even stars. I fully recommend the 7S's, but these 3S's are just not very good, especially for the price.

Great binos, bad lens caps, bad neck strap

Great binos! Brought them on a recent safari through Kenya and Tanzania and I thought they were perfect for the ranges we were observing animals from. Make sure to read how to use the diopter ring/focus ring in parallel, my girlfriend and I had very different settings but once we got it down it was super fast to dial in when trading them back and forth. Watch out for the lens caps, they're not very secure at all and we immediately lost both of the end caps and the front cap barely stays connected. I docked a star here, really wish they were the kind that were rigidly connected. Wish I had purchased a 3rd party neck strap before going, it really digs into your skin (no padding/widening across the neck) so we ended up not using it and just setting them down between uses.

Good Quality for the Money

These are a nice pair of mid-range quality binoc's. I doubt that if you spent 4 times the money that you would get 4X the quality for other higher priced/quality binoculars. Lead free glass lenses provide a bright, crystal clear, crisp image. The focus wheel is easily adjusted with the tip of an index finger. The only thing I dislike is the adjustable eye cups for use w/ & w/o glasses. To use them w/o glasses the eye cups need to be rotated all the way out but because they are loosely fit they are continually getting bumped back in requiring occasional readjustment.

Perfect for wildlife

I bought these for a trip to Grand Tetons & Yellowstone and was absolutely worth it. I was able to see wildlife so much better while keeping a safe distance. The adjustable eyepieces worked perfectly for me because my vision in each eye differs so much it normally is difficult for me to look through binoculars. I was able to see the details of a bison's eye while it was 30 yards away - also some elk looked like faint blurs but with the Nikon Prostaff I was able to see it was actually an elk and a calf.

A vast improvement over the travelite model

I bought these to replace a broken pair of Nikon Travelite V's Even though they were a little heavier and just slightly more expensive than the equiv new Travelite model. The image quality is vastly superior. I mostly use these for camping and wildlife observation, but Just last night I was able to stand on my porch and see both the moons of jupiter and the rings of saturn very clearly, I could never see them this well with the old pair.

Really great pair of binoculars!

Super happy with these binoculars. Crisp image/great range—just walked around for an hour and they’re really easy to focus. Slight chromatic aberration in high light, but really not bad at all. Highly recommend.

High quality at good price

Wife decided to get some binoculars for the family and we didn’t want to go cheap. We’ve had cheap and not worth the money. So we started at the $300 pair. But to us the value of these at $129 we outstanding. So for anyone wanting a solid set on glass. These here binoculars are well worth the money.

Spectacular views

Light weight, sharp focus, great magnification. I took these along on a trip to Yellowstone National Park and was able to see the same distant details seen via a mounted viewing scope. Highlight view: wolves playing on a hillside at dawn! Saw them flicking their ears with these binoculars!

I bought these about 2 weeks back and used them twice for bird watching. They have a great magnification and the image is crystal clear. Next test is the upcoming safari that I bought these for.
