Bought this sleeping pad for a motorcycle trip, in fact bought two. We rode 300 plus miles a day and had restful nights on these pads. Firm yet comfy, didn't collapse on the sides and when side sleeping I didn't have hip hitting the ground. We are not getting any younger but will keep on camping and using these.

If you sleep like a rock and never move at night then maybe this pad is the one for you. But if you toss and turn a bit during the night and aren’t alone in your tent your friend will probably dislike you in the morning. Not only is it ridiculously noisy, but its slick surfaces cause it to slide around when you shift positions as well so you may end up squashed up against the edge of the tent – that is assuming your friend didn’t make you go sleep outside earlier.

Makes sleeping easy

I purchased the 66" long model. I am a few inches taller than that, but this length worked out perfect for me. This pad may weigh a couple of ounces more than others, but it is thicker when blown up, so you really get off the ground on a nice cushion of air. I tried this out on a bivouac earlier this week and found it extremely comfortable even on a gravel surface on a high mountain. I think it weighs a couple of ounces more than some other brands, but the good nights sleep is well worth it. 28 breaths to blow up. seems like solid quality construction. Comes with patch Kit. With patch kit and stuff sack on my scale 18.3 ounces, or 519 grams.

Comfortable "bed"

Its been really pleasantly surprising how comfortable this is. As a side sleeper, this one had the depth needed to conform to this position. Really, I sometimes feel like it is more comfortable than my bed at home .. and that is a much more expensive foam unit. I have not experienced any of the noise issues of some others. It inflates and deflates easily enough. Light weight. Only wish I had seen the insulated BA air pad before picking this up. Its weight is listed as the same. Tip for users: The only time I was not comfortable on this was when inflating it fully. Leave it slightly under fillled to get more cush.

Light, saves space, extremely comfy.

5 out of 5, simple review. Perfect three season pad, love it. Your body will never touch the tent floor. Love the air release valve, it lets you adjust the firmness while laying on it, I have four; two 20 inchers by five and two 25 by 6. My kids walk over them and they do not receive damage. Durability seems ok. Thanks REI.

Great, Comfortable Nights Sleep Every Night

I love this sleeping pad. The quality is amazing, you can definitely tell Big Agnes takes some pride in the products they make. It has a one way valve for inflating, which is a great touch, and never takes me more than a minute or so to blow up. It is very comfy and I sleep well on it every night. Like other people have said, it can be quite noisy, and I also wish it was about an inch wider. Other than that, I have nothing but positive things to say about mine!

Good if you do not go below 40 degs

Initially I really liked this pad! It is light, compresses down to a small size and is very comfortable to sleep on. But when I took it backpacking in cold winter weather it did not hold up. I was freezing and had to share my partner's foam pad to stay warm. Eventually it started to leak and I could not figure out where the leak was coming from. I ended up returning this and got a self inflating foam pad, it is larger and heavier but has a higher R value which I hope will be adequate for cold weather camping. I wanted to love this pad but it is not for me. If you are looking for a light three season pad this could work for you, but just not for me.

Good Nights Sleep

I slept through the night with minimal waking and rolling. My norm is to readjust and try to get comfortable constantly. This was comfortable in any position. Packs very small and light. Very easy to inflate, deflate, roll and fit back in stuff sack. Good material, similar to what I am used to, that feels OK, directly against your skin.

Works great!

Camped twice with it so far, both for 3-4 days. Slept great every night. Material is a little loud I guess but I don't really notice it. Slept on side, stomach, and back. With and without sleeping bag. All comfortable. Just big enough. Can use to camp or backpack. Easy to fold and put away.

wicked comfortable!

This mattress is replacing my ten year old thermarest guidelite pad! This big Agnes sleeping pad is so thick! I really love being off the ground more than before. Its waay lighter and more compact than my old pad. At 220lbs, I am not kidding when I say that this pad can be a hiker's delight. However, something I noticed was that this new, thicker pad also made the space inside my big Agnes sleeping bag more restricted! Due to the way you must slip your pad into the bottom of the bag, as the pad provides ALL insulation to the bottom of the bag. My bag is rated at 15°. So this pad is good if you don't mind losing just a little more sleeping space. My new sleeping system keeps away the cold down to 30°, so far. So good! And it folds down soo tiny! I used to use the side straps on my pack to hold my long, heavy, outdated old pad but this new pad is too small for that! It goes inside my pack. ...less exposed, better protected from branches.
