Overall I like this pad a lot! I love the cover. It's so soft and luxurious. I like that the cover is removable for washing, or for using the pad without the cover to save weight, bulk, and/or insulation on warmer trips. I'm about 5'10 and 200lbs (male) and this pad supports me very well, even when side sleeping my hips do not touch the ground. My old Big Agnes pad had the larger side bolsters and this one does not. It's a feature that I do miss on this pad. The pad material is very tough. I found the inflation sack a bit difficult to open so I trimmed one of the sides down about 1/2" from the other side to make it easier to open up. I experimented with the strip of sack I removed (which feels like the same material as the pad) and it seems to be very resistant to puncture and has a really high tensile strength. Grabbing about a 3" section of that 1/2" strip between my hands I can stretch it out to almost 2 feet! It takes significant strength but still doesn't tear! I found the opening in the cover for the fill valve to be a little bit on the small side. It's easy to manipulate the fill valve when the pad is deflated, but when it's inflated I found the opening for the fill valve to be pretty tight. It was fiddly to open the valve cover to make inflation adjustments. If the slit in the cover were an inch or two longer it would help a lot, I think. This is a great sleeping pad and I hope to get many years of use out of it! This pad's high quality construction and materials combined with how Big Agnes stands behind their products makes for a winning combination!
As someone who cares about the environment and sustainable gear, this sleeping pad hits the mark! Not only that, but it's extremely comfortable, versatile, and the outer sleeve is extremely soft and warm.
The most comfortable sleeping pad I've tried (also slept on multiple thermarest and other big agnes). No shoulder or neck pain
