Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it ! This is the first camping quilt I have ever purchased and let me tell you, it was one of the best camping gear purchases Ive ever made. This quilt is very light weight weight and compact and when combined with my Neo air mat and mat cover the quilt snaps on perfectly. One thing I was worried about was, because Im a big guy i wasnt sure if it was going to work well when I slept on me side but because of the width and draft tubes there was no cool air coming in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great design for 1-2 season camping Without doubt this style of quilt is the future for outdoor sleeping systems. It gives the lightweight advantages (approximately 2/3rds the weight of an equivalent traditional sleeping bag) with the joyous comfort of the duvet on your own bed and doesn't leave you twisted up in the way sleeping bags do when rolling from one side to the other. Its also easy to connect a pair of quilts together for couples. I've only recently received the Corus HD Quilt, but spent over 100 nights in last years model the Auriga, cycling through Europe for 5 months. It's obvious the designers have carefully thought through the improvements for the Corus HD Quilt. They have increased the down fill from 260g in the Auriga to 350g in the Corus, which in itself, appears to retain the position of the down through the night far better. Also I think using Hydrophobic Down is a good idea, reducing the worry about moisture around the tent and the slightly shiny outer material prevents moisture beads soaking in. There are two side baffles on each side to prevent any cold drafts as you turn over through the night and snap fasteners to connect to the universal sheet or directly to the mat with supplied self adhesive loops if required. The quilt comes with a small travel bag as well as a mesh storage bag. The Corus HD is clearly designed for 1-2 season camping, and I still get cold below about 8'C, and would consider the updated Vela HD for UK and northern Europe camping to extend into early Spring to late Autumn.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The better bag alternative This (and blankets in general) are the new school of comfort for summer nights, and they're way more "technical" than you might think. I've been using this - and all it's predecessors - (the Alpine Blanket and Auriga) for years and there's simply no better way to sleep comfortably outside. I've used them on everything from alpine climbs and backpacks to car camping and watching movies at home (can't do all that with a BAG - let alone just one!) and I've slept comfortably down to the high 30's F. Rolling around freely, sticking a leg out for temperature regulation, and never wondering where the darn zipper is are but a few of the many bennies. They pack super small and weigh less than most bag alternatives, too. Honestly, if you need a new summer "bag", go for it. You will not be disappointed. In fact, you'll be downright surprised - in very good way. PS - I use them mostly with NeoAir XTherms or X-Lites, but using them on a Dreamtime should come with some sort of addiction warning.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ultralight and comfortable. This is so much more comfortable than a sleeping bag. I will be using this on all trips over 40 degrees. I was warm in just my underwear down to 41 degrees. It's so I worth to not be confined to a bag. I toss and turn at night and found this quilt to be a game changer. I'm 6'2" and got the large one and with my feet in the foot box I can pull it over my head just enough. It was expensive but does what it's supposed to do. Keep me warm during spring and summer and some fall and weighs only 1.5lbs. Plus it's light enough to bring along winter camping for extra furnace warmth. Haven't tried the side snaps but don't feel like I need them. My only complaint was that when it got wet in the rain smelled really funky. But dried so fast! I got this online. Should really be in the stores.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really compact and quite comfortable Used it for two nights so far and really like it. It's compact enough to stuff it into the small stuff sack pillow together with a XTherm mattress (both large size) while being more comfortable than a classic sleeping bag. Thermal rating seems to fit for me, but I generally don't need it very warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best night sleep. This is a great for camping, it packs smaller than my mummy bag and is warmer. I have used it on a few trips now. My only problem is that my wife now wants one too.

Asked by: CharleyGurl
No, the Corus HD Quilt does not come with a sleeping pad. The picture is meant to demonstrate the quilt in use.

Does this quilt match up with the women's Thermarest NeoLite?

Asked by: Spectacle
The Corus HD Quilt is compatible with the Therm-a-Rest Neo-Air XLite. We also recommend purchasing the Fast & Light Mattress Snap Kit directly from Therm-a-Rest.
