Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nearly Perfect! Love the set, since everything packs so neatly together this one thing made me shy away from a full 5 star review. The kit packs up almost perfectly onto itself, except the handle. Which is awesome because you can detach it and use it on every piece, but it has nowhere to go! If i put it inside the small pot, it'll scratch up the teflon. Seems like that should have been thought about. I just stuff it on top of the lid inside the mesh bad, reasonable, just not perfect. Otherwise, totally awesome and will definitely recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from all you need compact and all you need for one. I used this for a 2 week car camp and I did not need any other item to cook a wide variety of foods.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Handle Bracket Rivets Immediately Failed Bought it awhile ago took it on a trip a few weeks later. The removable handle slides into a bracket on the pans. That bracket is riveted to the pan. After maybe the third use the rivet holding the bracket to the pan gave out. Everything else about the product is well made and well thought out. It's a shame

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved them We used these pots for car-camping last weekend, and loved them! They are rated for the fire (without the lids) but we only used them on our camp stove. They worked great for boiling water, cooking eggs, bacon, potatoes, you name it. The lids have 'pour slits' on one side for easy pouring, which came in handy when pouring boiling water for coffee. The handle is also easy to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An excellent, compact cooking set This cookset does a fantastic job of supplying what you need for cooking on the go or at home! The pots (and lids) are perfect sizes, and the pan serves its purpose for its compact size. Well worth the price!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing light weight cook set This bundle packs a punch! For what it comes with it weighs nearly nothing, strapped onto my backpack and walked for miles. Truly is nonstick so that's a plus, all in all great product

One of the reviews mentions fire-rating. Can I cook with this set over a fire?

Asked by: bulgarianflash
This cookset is not designed to be used over an open fire and we do not recommend it.

Can you elaborate on the fire-rating? Why is it not recommended over a fire? Do the non-stick coatings fail at a certain temperature? Is it because it is an aluminum pot? Of course the plastic lids should not be used over a camp fire.

This cookset is designed to be used on a camp stove that has a controllable heat output, not a campfire.

What are the dimensions of the individual pots? On the surface this looks like it could be used as a backpacking set (for a group); has anyone used it as such, and how would you rate it for backpacking?

Asked by: Maggi7911
The smaller pot measures 8 x 3 3/8 inches. The larger pot measures 9 x 4 inches. At 2 pounds 10 ounces, this cookset is a little heavy for backpacking.
