Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love this product! I'm becoming a Kuhl junky, and this jacket just feeds my habit. It offers superb fit, styling, functionality, and comfort at a great price. Had originally gone into the store to look at a Patagonia Nano Puff jacket, but once I saw this jacket and put it on, I was hooked. Because of its trim, lightweight design it works well as an outer or inner layer and has kept me comfortable in 40 - 50 degree temperatures as an outer layer and I am looking forward to wearing it in colder weather as an inner layer. I haven't given it 5 stars as I've not owned it long enough to determine its durability under different conditions.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great design perfect weight/warmth ratio for me Only had the jacket for 1 month so can't speak about durability that is why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. What I can say is that I love the weight to warmth. The jacket is uber thin, fits like a glove, yet does a good job keeping me warm over a simple T shirt in 30F weather. I suspect it will make a great mid-layer when I go skiing next season. I also love the design and the fact that it has pockets everywhere!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sharp Style for Athletic Casual Perfect outer layer for hiking or just around town wear. Very light fabric, but insulating to keep you warm. Good to down about 50 degrees. I wear it mostly on weekends to and from the gym and running errands with jeans or nicer athletic pants.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from What happened Firefly!? I had the green version of this jacket and absolutely loved it! Had it for 2-3 years and still do, except over time I got a few snags so decided to get a new one. I’m not sure if they changed manufacturers or what but I ended up returning this black firefly jacket twice because the lining on the inside of the arms kept bleeding out insulation. Too bad because I loved this jacket. Got the new Kuhl Firekrackr and trying that out now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great light/mid weight jacket Needed a nice light/mid weight jacket to ride my bike to work each morning from fall to winter. This is semi weather proof. Stops wind very well. And is very light weight.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks great, doesn't keep warm A great looking jacket, and the stretch in the sleeves is a nice plus. But this is no more warming than a nice sweater. I was outside for an hour in 30 degree weather and was absolutely freezing.

How does the Kuhl Firefly compare to the Spyfire? What are the differences?

Asked by: eSchweis
The main differences between the two jackets are that the Firefly uses synthetic Primaloft Gold insulation and the Spyfire uses 800-fill goose down. The Firefly is likely to have a bit more stretch than the Spyfire because the Primaloft Gold Insulation in the jacket has a touch of spandex to accommodate natural movement.
