I bought this about 3 weeks ago and I really like them. I normally run trails and I run in normal running shoes. I got these since I wanted a little more support. I find the shoes true to size and they are very responsive on the trail. These are comparable to my normal stability show, but I don't feel the rocks and the roots nearly as much in these. All in all these are a really solid shot.. Hope this helps.
this is an amazing shoe. the treads really stick. comfort and support all excellent. Can't talk about long term durability yet, but after six cross country mud runs, so far so good. they are sized narrow. I got the 4E. also if you shop around and if you are patient you'll find them for $85.
Bought these for my regular runs up and down Camelback mtn. Trail is a mix of rocks, sand and hard pack and the Leadvilles work great on all of it. Light for the trip up and enough cushion for the high impact Run and jumps coming down. Very happy with them.
I just got my 2nd pair from REI. Took it for a 10 miler today, and am very happy with them. The first pair was good up to about 240 miles. I am pretty heavy for a runner, and try technical trails every once in a while, so I think it's a good mileage. The quality of the upper is perfect. The only reason why I retired the first pair is that the undersole was showing the right amount of wear to say goodbye. I don't want to mention other brands by name, but one in particular was really bad with stitching on the upper falling appart after only 80 miles, and another brand's undersole broke (like caved in) after only 37 miles (that was really weird). I rotate with other shoes that are OK, but not as good as the Leadville. Not easy to find good shoes. Anyway, the Leadville are perfect for long runs. I did 4 50k's in my first pair, everything went well all the way. The cushion is wonderful. Undersole is good for dry, rocky and technical runs (not muddy though). Even though New Balance does not offer much for trail compared to other brands, they came up with a very good product. Quality over quantity!
I was looking for shoes to wear every day with better side to side stability than my running shoes (I'm no spring chicken). These were comfortable from the outset - very nice.
I bought a pair, because the were comfortable and I had found them to be a good product over the years. The first pair was defective (the back of the left shoe collapsed almost immediately), so I exchanged them for another pair. This pair had a hard ridge in the back which hurt my foot. I am happy with REI's policies; I brought them back, got a refund this time and purchased another brand.
These shoes were comfortable since day 1! Little to no break in time and maximum comfort. Wore the shoes a few times to the gym and in a few prep hikes. Then busted out 100 miles in 6 days on the AT. Never a blister, sore spot or anything. Unfortunately I burned a serious hole in one shoe while attempting to dry my shoe off by a camp fire one evening. But ordered a new pair and will Be using the Leadville's again. Best shoe I've hiked and/or ran in yet
I bought these a couple weeks ago and have used them about 6 times. I wear them for a light hiker shoe. I found them to be very comfortable and fits my foot snuggly with a good griping sole and I don't feel rocks under my feet. I'm really liking them a lot.
I bought these for a section hike of the PCT and they held up great. They were comfortable, gripped well, and even after 300 miles barely showed any signs of wear. I would I would definitely buy these again.
Served me great on my trail run this past weekend (15 miles). I had only worn them once before and still didn't get a blister!
