I want to start by saying this is my first ever review and because I was so impressed with the product I figured I would give it a whirl. Bought this sleeping bag for a camping trip down to Big Bend National Park and am so happy I did! I'm ~5'7" 155lbs and have the regular size bag. Plenty of room to roll around, didn't keep my feet all cooped up, and very comfortable. Temps got down to the mid 40s at night and sleeping in shorts and a t-shirt I stayed plenty warm. Buddy of mine had a mammut sleeping bag rated for roughly the same temperature and when he woke up he said his feet were cold, mine were nice and cozy. I highly recommend this sleeping bag!
This sleeping bag is comfy and very spacious. It isn't as claustrophobic as my other sleeping bags.
Excellent bag for both car camping and backpacking. I've only used it down to about 30*F but I stayed plenty warm and appreciate the shoulder and head room. The bag seems durable and I like the hybrid stuffing!
I took this out in 20 below weather and stayed very warm the whole night. Given, I was wearing quite a few layers, but I could have easily stayed warm without them. I also like how this bag comes with a pack that can be shrunk down to a pseudo-compression sack. It makes it easy to pack while camping but then allows you to let it expand when storing.
As someone who needs space when I sleep the extra width this bag provides was perfect. Sleeping bags I purchased in the past were too constricting. The lowest temperature I have used it in was about 45 degrees. I love this bag!
We purchased this sleeping bag to replace a sleeping bag purchased 33 years ago (from REI) as the older bag wasn't warm enough for colder nights in the mountains camping/backpacking. We just returned from a two week camping/backpacking trip and this sleeping bag worked really well especially for those cold nights at 7000+ feet.
took it out to the Potawatomi trail in MI on March 31st 2018 and stayed at Blind Lake Campground during rain, high winds, and 20 degrees...it worked PHENOMENAL! I was down to my skivvies in 20 degree weather and was never cold at all other than the tip of my nose. Would easily buy another for my wife if they still sold them... :-(
Bought this for my son. Weather was about 35 degrees overnight, and he said it kept him warm and did not wake up in the cold. The sleeping bag is high quality for the price. The product is reliable and love the REI brand.
I use this bag for every camping trip I take. I don't winter camp, so the coldest I've slept in this is around 35 degrees F. It packs down well and fits my body size well, with a bit of room to toss & turn.
I like it. I have not used it on a very cold night but so far so good. I would buy it again.
