Imported.

Many sleeping bags are rated for temperature by an independent testing protocol, the European Norm (EN) 13537. Each bag gets two ratings: a Comfort rating and Lower Limit rating. The Comfort rating is the lowest temperature at which the bag will keep the average woman (or "cold sleeper") comfortable, and the Lower Limit rating is the lowest temperature at which the bag will keep an average man (or "warm sleeper") comfortable. Everyone's body and sleep comfort is different, so EN Ratings are merely a guideline to help you compare products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Sleeping Bag I want to start by saying this is my first ever review and because I was so impressed with the product I figured I would give it a whirl. Bought this sleeping bag for a camping trip down to Big Bend National Park and am so happy I did! I'm ~5'7" 155lbs and have the regular size bag. Plenty of room to roll around, didn't keep my feet all cooped up, and very comfortable. Temps got down to the mid 40s at night and sleeping in shorts and a t-shirt I stayed plenty warm. Buddy of mine had a mammut sleeping bag rated for roughly the same temperature and when he woke up he said his feet were cold, mine were nice and cozy. I highly recommend this sleeping bag!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good value! Excellent bag for both car camping and backpacking. I've only used it down to about 30*F but I stayed plenty warm and appreciate the shoulder and head room. The bag seems durable and I like the hybrid stuffing!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So comfy! This sleeping bag is comfy and very spacious. It isn't as claustrophobic as my other sleeping bags.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and Packs Well I took this out in 20 below weather and stayed very warm the whole night. Given, I was wearing quite a few layers, but I could have easily stayed warm without them. I also like how this bag comes with a pack that can be shrunk down to a pseudo-compression sack. It makes it easy to pack while camping but then allows you to let it expand when storing.

I received this sleeping bag and love it but am confused as to how to use the half mesh stuff sack.  Is there a way to use the stuff sack so that all of the bag is inside of the non-mesh end of the stuff sack?

Asked by: Wildcat Wilderness Dude
To use the stuff sack without the mesh, stuff the mesh in the sack first, then stuff the bag in the sack.

Is the down in all sizes of the Alpen Pod water-resistant down? I notice that in the technical specs section, it mentions that it's water-resistant only for the long. I'm interested in buying the short, but only if it's water-resistant.

Asked by: Sam S
Yes, the down in all the sizes is water-resistant.
