Not the least bit water resistant

One rainstorm, and kaput. It seems to me that the OLED screen itself here is the culprit, as I noticed water droplets inside the display as it decided to die. I never had a problem with their prior lights, which of course do not have the same display. So I will return this one and give another one a shot. I don't foresee better success from the next one.

Water resistant?

I was hesitant to buy this item, for one main reason, but quickly got over it, and now I have another issue with the product. I hope I'm not writing a redundant review because I overlooked the water-resiliency spec. This product made it through one rain storm and is dead. from what I found out about the W-R rating on this item is that is should be able to handle being splashed from all sides, with no issues. maybe I took it in a rain shower too intense. But for $140.00 (i bought it on sale) it should stand up to water splashes. When I purchased this product I had brought up that I was a commuter, often times caught out in the elements. with that said I thought I was getting a good product, that could withstand the rains of Seattle. sadly no. I had no problem reading the screen, and rather really liked it. I really liked the day-time dim+strobe feature, and if it truly does last 21 hours, I would really enjoy this product, but don't get it wet.

Does not deliver on its distinctive feature

If you are tempted to buy this one during the current sale and check out the new display technology, don't. It's not implemented well. First sign of trouble was the garbled display when the remaining time counter went from 10:01... 10:00... 9:59 (see attached photo). Properly adjusting the display when the length of the display string decreases is a trivial software task, but it was not thought of by the developer nor caught by the QA. What's worse, at the point when the battery progress bar on top of the display shows about 2/3 of the charge (commensurate with the time of usage from the last full charge), it suddenly falls down to 20% and then the light goes dead in another 10-20 minutes. Saw this 2 times out of 2 I charged it to the full, so this problem is consistent. As for light part, it's a good light. The beam is bright and dispersed nicely. But the main feature of this light is the declared predictability of remaining runtime. For this I was prepared to pay a premium differing it from other lights of a similar power output. Unfortunately, this feature does not reliably work at all, so this light goes back to the store and I am buying a more traditional model.

NiteRider Lumina OLED bike light

My NiteRider 600 Lumina bike light is the best investment that I have ever made, for safety, while riding my Mountain Bike. It failed a year after I purchased it, so I sent it in to get it repaired, and NiteRider company sent me back a new improved version, a 1200 Lumina light. fast forward to the year 2022, and I now have had the NiteRider 1200 Lumina bike light for f years, and it is still the best investment I have ever made for my Mountain Bike. It has failed again, but this time I am sending it back to pay for it to get it repaired. I can't live without it!

Amazingly small and powerful!

This light is amazing! I have a mount on my handle bar and one on my helmet. The light is supper light, very easy to change settings, and the cord to charge is also really small which I appreciate. The visibility that you get is almost comparable to car headlights (not as wide, but as powerful) which makes it wonderful for the woods or very dark areas.
