The good: • Entire chair collapses down and packs away into a carrying case roughly the size of a water cannister - easy to pack away. • Extremely lightweight. • Breathes well. No sweat. - When rained on, dries quickly. • Sturdy and durable. • Easy to set up and break down. The bad: • I'm tall. The seat is only a few inches off the ground. Getting in and out of the chair repeatedly can be a workout. • When you're not sitting in it, a simple breeze will knock it down. A stiff breeze will blow it clear across camp. I love this chair. The packability of this chair makes it simple to bring on any lengthy camping trip when you're trying to save on space/weight. As far as comfort goes, I've sat in more comfy chairs, but I've also sat in several less comfy chairs. After a long day's paddle, zero complaints on comfort. I'd give it a 7/10 in that category. The convenience of it is unbeatable though.
I have this chair, and had to call Big Agnes to have them correct the weight. On the Big Agnes Web site, it is 1 lb, 6 oz. this is the correct weight without the storage bag. I love this chair. It keeps you further off the ground than its competitor. I wish the back was about 3 inches higher, but it is still my number one choice.
6' 250lb. Used this on my last hike PTC J Section WA. Had the REI Flex Lite chair (very nice chair) but did not work for me. My weight and how high it the REI chair sat it would not work unless on absolutly flat ground. The Helinox Ground chair sits very low and has a very solid base... (little hard to get in and out of) But I could use the chair on slops just fine. So nice to sit down day after day of longs hikes... And the chair is packs small and is very light for the "extra weight"...
I weigh 215 and sat in it and it broke! Not worth the money
