Cool looking chair, very light weight and sling dries fast. However if on uneven ground your body will slide on the sling (material has very little friction). Also the feet are narrow and will sink into soft ground. Older chairs used thicker material and fatter feet.
1/2 pound heavier than the chair zero the chair zero L is extremely comfortable, higher weight limit than the regular chair zero and still packs down small for easy packing. I am 220lbs 6' 5", I backpack and canoe camp and would never go camping without the chair zero L or my chair 1L. I love the black and white ripstop of the fabric on the chair Zero L. The way it packs away so small is amazing fits easily into my backpack or drybags. The chair zero L has a totally different sitting experience from the chair 1 L, the Zero L is lower, leans back more and does not wrap around you making it less cozy than the zero L, both very comfortable but the heavy chair L cradles your arms and shoulders. The feet on helinox chairs are too small and are hot garbage. I have seen two helinox chairs break a leg in half while sitting around the campfire do to legs sinking into the mud/duff. Luckily two styles of replacement feet are available on Amazon and Walmart, heavy rubber ball feet and lighter weight feet with a wide disc. I am currently using both styles on different helinox chairs and have had great results not sinking in sand, mud and duff with both style feet. A third option to not sink is the groundsheet, but for me it would get way to muddy in my use cases to be a viable option as I don't like packing very dirty gear. While this chair is not the lightest chair, it is the lightest chair that a tall jacked guy like me can fit into comfortably without worrying it will break even if someone else who is fat and doesn't know about load limits sits in it. I have been using helinox chairs for over a decade and my favorite feature of the chair Zero L is the this side up marking arrow on the seat fabric, after a long hot day on the trail or river, it's nice to not have to think hard about setting up your chair. Caution: 1 Helinox chairs blow over and into fires easily 2 Your chair will get a burn hole if near fires 3 once you get a chair you will be spoiled
Very good design very comfortable. Looks cool with the color pattern can't go wrong. Way better than the REI chair.
Easy to use, folds up into a small bag, very packable, very comfortable doesn't tip when leaning back. One down side is that the chair legs sink in soft ground.
