Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lightweight harness! I'm relatively new to climbing and had the opportunity to try out a few other harnesses before buying my own. From those experiences, I learned that I hated leg buckles and all sorts of straps hanging around. They just never really made a difference for me. As a result, I was really drawn to the simplicity of the Sama. It's incredibly comfortable and the Medium fits my 6'1" and 175 lb frame perfectly. I used it quite a bit in the gym and on sport routes and it's worked great in each application. I don't think the gear racks would be ideal for trad, but the Sama seems to really find it's sweet spot in the sport world. I highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My very first harness So I was putting off buying a harness for months while using my works harness for a while. I wanted to make sure my first harness was not only reliable, but also super comfortable. I used two other harness's as benchmarks when making my choice, the Black Diamond Momentum and Petzl Corax. My favorite part about this is the fit, its super comfortable but maybe a bit awkward because not everyone has a 30" waist and soccer quads. I loved the fact that the leg loops don't have buckles which makes it that much easier to slip on. All you have to do is just tighten around the waist and your good to go. The only thing I didn't like is how the back two gear loops are more rounded than edged, so you have to practice clipping gear in the back before you feel slick about it while cleaning a sport route. Other than that, its sooo lightweight and easy to spot because its bright orange!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great harness for sport climbing Have used this up to 5.12a sport climbing, inside and outside. Harness is really comfortable for extended use, and padding is just right - not too much where it adds weight, but even after multiple 20 foot whipper falls, nothing is sore the next day. Pretty lightweight and elastic leg loops makes it easy to slide on and off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable go-to harness Used for a year indoor and outdoors sport/trad, but no bigwall/alpine. Owned the previous version for a few years. Absolutely comfortable to belay in and take falls in for sport or trad indoors or out. There's never a sweaty spot, the leg loops fit great and stretch around when needed. The tie in point is really hard-wearing. The rear gear loops are floppy and don't get in the way of my pack when outside, but are floppy and takes a bit more dexterity to get gear on/off. The front gear loops are kind of 'soft' but rack gear well too - they have a slight forward tilt so that carabiners slide forward. There's a little horizontal loop in the back that I use to clip a chalkbag to - I don't think it's fully rated. I like that it has a caritool slot, I just stick a plastic REI biner in there to rack nuts. This is a very comfortable harness that is my go-to harness for anything! The leg loops are anatomically 'correct' for the precious cargo area. The same can't be said for other popular harnesses I've tried. Can't be beat for comfort, mobility, and functionality! I'd probably even take this on the big wall... if I did big wall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Snug and distributes weight comfortably I tried on 4 other harnesses and at first I thought this was a little tight on my thighs because you can't adjust them but after I tried on a few others, I noticed I preferred the snugness of these. I think a lot of thought went into how this harness distributes weight, it feels great.

I am a rather skinny guy, about 5ft 7in 145lb. I wear a 32 pant. I am worried about the leg strap, I don't want to buy a harness that isn't the right size on my legs and am worried about the leg strap fitting, since you cant adjust them. Any advice?

We recommend taking your waist and thigh measurements then comparing to the sizes in Specs to find your ideal fit.
