Size chart

Rated 4 out of 5 by from beautiful but not 600 fill power warm The jacket looks great, fits me (6 feet tall, 160 lbs.) perfectly with sleeves just the right length. Features like zipper pull and pockets are fine, keeps the wind out too. It's the expected warmth that's not there. I first wore the jacket outside, 43F, no wind, light base layer and my arms were Cold. Once I started hiking it held in my warmth just fine, but standing or sitting in a cold place it does not retain my body heat. That said, I've increased the thickness of the underlayers and the jacket is fine. I haven't hiked with it and a backpack yet, nor taken a bike ride. Will I wear it skiing? Can I get enough layers on under it? I'll know in another month.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most Excellent Jacket! I bought this jacket in the mint blue and it's a beautiful color. Everyone loves it and they are not afraid to tell me! I ordered the jacket online after checking the sizing chart on the website. The size is spot on and fits perfectly. The sleeves are long enough and cover my wrists. The jacket is very light weight and at first I didn't think it would be very warm - it weighs about as much as a windbreaker. Now that the weather here in Wisconsin has gotten colder, the jacket has proven itself to be warmer than I ever thought it could be. It hasn't gotten below zero here yet but I think that wearing a sweater underneath the jacket will keep me plenty warm.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Would be perfect except for plus-size issue Like, I suspect, many plus-sized women, I have been searching for an ultra-light-weight travel jacket. Having ordered and returned several, I really don't think there are any out there. North Face, I bet you could sell a bushel of them. This jacket came recently and I loved the weight, the color and the way it looked. Then I tried it on and was very sad. It fit perfectly in the shoulders, sleeves and arms, but no way would it go around my hips. I don't think I'm a weirdly-shaped plus-sized woman, but you should know that our hips are a little larger than those of a teenage boy. PLEASE think about making some clothing that fits actual people.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A lot of compliments! However.... Overall, In my opinion its a very nice jacket. However, it is not as warm as a down, but warmer than a leather, wool, poly-filled jacket. I get a lot of compliments on the jacket too! I think if you wanted it for skiing or working outdoors in the snow you would need to wear layers for it to be extra warm. It runs smaller than the regular 3/4 coats, especially around the hip and waist. I purchased in a size large but it was too big so I returned it for a medium. I believe its design to react to body heat because when I am in the car it can be too warm. Nevertheless, I brought it, and I am keeping it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Feel It This jacket is warm, comfortable, well made, true-to-size, and much better looking on a woman than on its own, as in the online catalog's photo. The diamond stitching pattern allows the fabric to drape around curves in a very flattering way. How many winter sports jackets show-off the feminine figure? The light-weight Thermoball material fascinates people everywhere, evoking multiple requests for feeling the sleeve. The fabric really is amazing. It's so light, yet retains body heat. The head-turning warm olive green is gorgeous! I'm extremely satisfied with my Thermoball jacket.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm and Lightweight I really love this jacket. It is as warm as they say. I bought the borealis blue and the color is as shown. I get a lot of complements. I bought mine with the hood. The hood and sleeves are fitted and keep the wind out. It washes up really nice. Doesn't take up a lot of room in my luggage while traveling. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the material. With in a month of buying it, the sleeve cuffs pilled up and I have several snags on the sleeves. It really looked worn. I hadn't worn it for any outdoor activities, just running around, shopping, traveling. I almost returned it because of this, but decided I loved everything else about it. I hope next year the material will be a bit better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous! When I opened the package, the jacket was so tiny (not puffy), lightweight, and silky soft that it was hard to imagine it being warm too. It is extremely warm! I felt as if I were in a cozy cocoon on a recent day with lots of wind. Spicy orange arrived in a brighter color than on my computer monitor, and with a pink cast. Lovely! Fits well. I raved about the jacket so much that my husband just ordered one. I was looking for an alternative to down, and this definitely exceeds my expectation.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Soaked I used this jacket as a layer under a Gortex shell and over other layers if it was quite cold for skiing. I found although I was comfortable temperature wise??_.perfect really The jacket would be soaked when I went in for lunch. Really" wring it out" soaked and I would have to put it back on totally wet. Disgusting??_Still I was warm and comfortable once it was on but I do not understand why it was always wet. I had and used pit zips, increasing the venting unless it seemed too cold but no matter what the jacket was soaked by midday although even soaked the temperature seemed great when I was skiing. The shell seemed to also work with other jackets without this issue.

Has anyone skied in this in cold temperatures (like between 10 and 30 degrees F)?

Asked by: KD Nelson
This jacket is a great choice for skiing in the temperatures described.
