Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked great! Bought these for my 5 (almost 6) year old daughter on the way to Great Smokey Mtn NP to do some hiking. I was worried about blisters because they were brand new and come up higher than her normal shoes so I had her try them out a little before we headed out on a real trail. No issues with blisters or being too heavy so we went for it. Did a challenging over 5 mile trail hike up a mountain and back and had no issues whatsoever. She had good grip on slippery rocks and the waterproofing was great for the couple shallow streams we had to cross. Very happy with this purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfort out of the box I got these for my 4&1/2 year old daughter on our way to a hike. I was worried that they'd be uncomfortable for her not being broken in since they are much heavier & stiffer than the "school shoes" she typically wears. She did great. She didn't slip even once & her confidence grew on "tricky spots" throughout the hike. I was surprised she never complained about the weight. She did just over 3 miles on that first hike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great for my daughter to go "jungle" hiking w Dad great fit - perfect ankle support, and thanks to Hi-Tec for designing a double insert that allows one section to be removed to get additional months of wear for those feet on the child that is growing up too fast. very good fit, waterproof to encourage puddle stomping, and good looking to make it fun as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Girl's Hiking Boots My 3 y.o. daughter loves her new boots. I thought they might be too heavy to hike in, but she says they're comfortable and she hasn't got any blisters. Waterproof enough to stomp in some puddles, too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Grandaughter's fave These were my granddaughter's choice and they worked very well. She was comfortable, warm and unstoppable over miles of trail, even in deep snow. Boots provided good insulation and waterproofing but did need to be combined with gaiters for a kid who loves snow.

I am confused about the sizes, i have a 4 year old who typically wears a size 10-11, would these boots fit her?

Asked by: Jenna3
The smallest size is 10. The range goes from 10 – 13, then starts over from 1 – 6. The sizes 10 & 11 would work for your daughter.

I am looking at these shoes for my 6 year old daughter. A pair of vans she has are a 12.5. I am wondering if I should purchase these in a size 13, or a size 1? Not sure where toddler sizes start and end in the size choices, if at all?

Asked by: JBR127
We are unable to compare sizing between Vans and Hi-Tec, therefore cannot recommend a size based on her current shoes. If uncertain, we suggest ordering both sizes and returning the pair that doesn't fit. This shoe is not available in toddler sizes. The options are sizes 10-13 (little kids) and 1-6 (big kids).

I am an adult woman with small feet. Would these be okay for me to wear for fairly long hikes? I rarely find boots in my size

Asked by: cneel
These boots are best used on well-maintained trails; if they fit you and wear comfortably, you can wear them for any distance you like.
