Rated 1 out of 5 by from Keeps resetting itself randomly I previously owned a Cateye bike computer for 5 successful and happy years, so when it came to replacing, I figured I'd give the brand some loyalty. Well, this one is about as bad as the other one was good. I frequently find it has randomly reset itself. I don't know if I accidently hit it while moving about, however it is on my handlebar and I'm not in the habit of slouching myself all over my handlebar thereby pressing the thing into resetting. So I'm guessing it's flimsiness. It's also very hard to remove, I've cut myself (not severely of course, but still) several times trying to jam the thing out of its support's death grip (which incidentally is also one of the many wonderful ways you can lose all your data - had to get into the habit of writing them down before removing the computer, very tedious). In other words, there's got to be a better choice for your money out there. I wanted small footprint and fairly minimal functionality, I got the former - it's tiny. But I wasn't going for quite so minimal. ("mmm, 0.2 miles today in 4 hours, I've slowed down some lately")

Rated 4 out of 5 by from No wires, simple to use. I've had this computer for a while now, I've been frustrated with it for a while because it wasn't reading accurately, however, I solved that problem by strengthening the magnet. After doing so, the computer is accurate with GPS features on Strava. If you don't strengthen the magnet the sensor will skip rotations occasionally.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Keeps losing connectivity with the transmitter This is probably my least favorite cycling computer. The sensor seems to work only when the weather is warm. Changed batteries multiple times, to no avail. Very unreliable.

Can this items sensor be mounted on the back wheel? Every one of these wireless computers I have seen the sensor must be mounted on the front wheel which doesn't do any good when the bike is on a wind trainer.

Asked by: combatguitar
The sensor can be mounted no more than 23 5/8 inches away from the Strada Slim Computer. This would not be best bet if you wanted to use the computer with an indoor trainer. A bike computer that has a wire will work with when using a your bike on an indoor trainer. The CatEye Strada Cadence Bike Computer would be a good choice.
