Sizing notes

For rock climbing shoes: Choose soft shoes two to three sizes smaller than your street shoe size. We recommend you fit your trad shoes one to two sizes under your street shoe size. Remember to factor in stretch. Unlined slip-lasted shoes tend to stretch about one full size. Lined shoes stretch about a half size. Remember: a well-fit comfortable shoe will work better than an ill-fitting tighter shoe. For boots: Add one half size to your street shoe size. You should be able to slip one finger behind your heel when you are standing up with the boot unlaced and your toes touching the front. If the boot is too short, your toes will get smashed walking downhill. Too long and your heel will slide up and down and give you blisters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable Climbing Shoe They are supposed to be a comfortable all around shoe and they seem to be just that. I bought them for my daughter who hates wearing climbing shoes and she loves them. She climbs in the gym and they seem to do alright even on overhanging problems. She is confident in them and I don't see her slip often. (I have seen her heel hook with confidence too.) They seem to perform better and are more comfortable than similar styles of shoes we have tried. They are perfect for growing feet and I would expect them to be great for beginners, someone who likes a more comfortable fit, and for training. Not nearly as important, but we love the aesthetics too!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Beginner Shoes Takes a while to break in and your feet will slip off simple toe holds until the shoes are ready. The velcro is amazing for quick adjustments as your feet change during the day or even during a project. Because this is a not so aggresive shoe the arch support is lacking but the toe box is spacious enough that you won't have to take them off after every climb.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Reliable (and aesthetically pleasing) These shoes are my first pair of climbing shoes, and compared to others I tried on or used once or twice, so far they are my favorite. My feet do get very squished on my little toes much more so than on my big toe but I also have very very wide feet with toes that are mostly straight across which proves to be an issue in all shoes not just climbing ones. I wish they made shoes for people with feet like mine, but since they don't I'm happy to work with these

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oxy-gems These shoes fit wonderfully on my feet and cup my heels like a dream. I was nervous at first, but I love them. The colors are eye catching and fun and I have gotten many compliments on them already. Climbing in these shoes has been a blast and I would definitely recommend them for climbers of all abilities.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Slippery, cuts the wrong corners Pros: -Price -Velcro -Super comfortable -Machine washable Cons: -NOT STICKY at all -Not vibram soles Returned immediately. If you want a cheap gym shoe at the same price point consider the Scarpa Helix, even though they're not velcro you want fall of the wall you're there to climb.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Adjustable I'm a beginner, but I love this shoe. It has made my start in climbing so enjoyable. Love the double straps- help me adjust the shoe to make tighter/looser as needed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great shoe! bad smell.. love this shoe! i've had this for about 4 months and it's been a great 4x/week indoor climbing shoe. the two drawbacks are: - they make your feet smell BAD :( even after washing (the shoe is washable) - after about a month and a half of use, a small tear opened up in the rubber by the toe. not anything i'd gripe about, though, since the shoe still works just fine would definitely recommend if you can stand having stinky feet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Starter Shoe Made this purchase almost a year ago and have been gym climbing consistently since. The shoe has held up really well, though over time it has loosened up a bit more than I was expecting. I did try to find a fit that was a little more snug but after climbing frequently the shoe is very loose in the toe box and arch.

I am looking into purchasing a pair of these shoes & am wondering about sizing. I wear a size 6 street shoe. Are they true to size to the sizing chart, size 37, or should I expect to go down 0.5-1 size?? Thanks!

Asked by: alaskaRN
Based on reviews, we recommend sizing down one full size from your street shoe size.
