Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable... So comfortable! I wear these as everyday shoes. My feet are often painful, and these shoes make them feel fantastic. The insole is not the same harder rubber as the outsole. It is softer and more shock absorbent. The soles are stiff and only bend at the ball, which is what my podiatrist likes me to wear. They have moderate arch support. I walk my dog in them and we trudge through mud a lot. The shoes clean up easily2 and provide a stable footing.. the only drawback is the limited color choices. I would have liked to have them in brown or red. I would buy them over and over. Note that they run big. A half size down from usual should fit well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 200 Miles in the Grand Canyon I switched to hiking and backpacking in sandals a few years ago and I have never gone back. I have done serious backpacking with these sandals from Grand Canyon NP up to Yellowstone NP. When I am on the more popular trails in the GC people stop me and ask if I am insane hiking in sandals. When I tell them that I have hiked more than 200 miles in the Grand Canyon in these babies already they pay attention. I tell them that it is insane to wear anything but sandals on your feet hiking in the canyon. No more blisters. No more lost toenails. No more sore or achy feet at the end of the day. Get out of the boots and get some good sandals.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hope they are just as good as the first pair. I've own my original pair of Terradactyl sandals for over 20 years and I'm only getting a new pair because the velcro has wore out. I replace the velcro once already but it still wore out a second time. Soles are still going strong but I have had to glue the soles and upper part of sandal together twice on each sandal. I love these sandals and they have traveled with me around the world hiking through Hawaii, Australia, New Zealand, China, Malaysia, the Himalayas, Mongolia, Europe, Mexico, Central America and all over North America. I only hope my new ones will do as well. Here's a big thumbs up to TEVA! LOVE YOUR SANDALS!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Only shoe I've ever needed I've worn these for years, work or play, feet never felt fatigued. Recently I broke my heel in five places (dislocation fracture, decided against surgery) Dr gave me a knee high, heavy, clumsy boot and an ace bandage to wear. ( I requested no cast). Tried the boot on once and pitched it. Wore the Tevas over the ace bandage for a couple weeks, then just the Tevas. Today was 6 week check up. Bones all knitted together and full range of motion with no pain. 50% weight bearing for the next two weeks then full weight bearing. He expects me to return to full hiking status at the 12 week mark and no physical therapy and said I could skip the boot. Love my Tevas. I'm 63.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I prefer Teva's fit and adjustability Just try them on. Adjust all the straps. I like that I can keep them comfortably loose when cruising and tighten them in front and back when I need good footing in wet sand or rocks. I'll swim with them when the bottom is rough. I bought this pair because my first pair has lasted a long time and I wanted a newer look to take on vacation...but I still beat that 10 year old pair - in and out of water and sand, etc. and love the comfort in the outdoors. These new ones are basically the same comfort, design and material so I expect to get as much use as that old pair. If ordering online I'd say length is pretty true to size or slightly long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy this product again and again Great sandals for many uses, this are my second ones in 10 yrs and I love them. They are very comfortable, durable even with the open design I feel a good support of my feet, accommodate my arch nicely and this is a good reason for a comfort and support. Also, they match my XTerra when I'm in the middle of nowhere in the woods. I have hike with them with 40-45 lbs. backpack with no issues in my feet or knees, of course no everybody is build the same however you should try them. Great sandals, just picks the one that give you the best fit, comfort just like you do with shoes and you will be happy to have them. Good Luck

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Terra's GREAT - Need More Color Options! I have many pair of TEVAs and continue to mourn the loss of the Women's Tanza Leather suede-type foot bed. I also mourn the loss of the Woman's Tanza Leather in general. Last year I bought a Male Youth size. Does this make any sense? In high temps at the beach, their foot beds never got HOT. I could go in and out of the water. I walk miles on the San Diego beach boardwalk and this is important to me. This year, I had TWO - count them - TWO choices of colors in this sandal. Black and more black. Would I have ever chosen black if I had other options? No . . . but what are my choices. You seem to be focusing on your less expensive, original, plain yet colorful TEVA sandal. I won't wear those as I appreciate the top-of -the line fit much better. We need more options PLEASE! Still love you but you're pushing me to seek other options.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bought one for my dad! I was trying to buy one pair for my dad and found men's sizes are too big for him. Then I found this and think it suits a guy really well. He likes and I would say Teva has better quality than most brands out there. I have a pair of Terri Fi from 2005 in blue floral and one from 2008 in pink floral, and I am so glad they are both in good condition, because both of them have better quality (thicker sole, more cushion) and much much prettier than this current version. It seems Teva's design is going downhill lately. I don't think I would ever buy this current version for myself, if you ever had a pair of old Teva to compare... Teva, please bring out these feminine prints and offer more options like you used to.

Is the sole on the Teva Terra Fi 4 non-marring? My old Teva's (had them so long, no longer remember the model) are leaving black scuff marks on my kayak.

In the size chatr are we measuring length of foot or of sandal. If sandal, are we measuring sole or footpad.

Asked by: danny rifkin
The size chart attached to the Terra Fi 4 is based on length of foot in inches. For example, a foot that measures 11 inches in length would be the equivalent to US men's size 10.

Are they true to size? I'm a 10.5 should I get larger smaller or a 10'5

Asked by: beans the walker
Teva sandals run true-to-size, so you should be fine with a 10.5.

Shouldn't the velcro be fastened to the plastic tab on the top strap? It seems it will put a lot of stress over time on the stiching that fastens the velcro to the webbing.
