Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty Good We went on a 6 day canoe trip in the Boundary Waters and used this set exclusively. It's very light, fairly durable, very compact, and easy to clean. The bowls are not that durable. Using a knife left minor scratches on the plastic bowls. Wish they were a little more durable. Everything else if fairly sturdy and it's great to have everything compacted so easy and light. We also bought the fry pan separately and it fits on the bottom of this. All and all worth it. It would be nice if the cups were a little bigger. They only hold one cup. The cups have measurements on the inside which is nice though for measuring liquids. We used the dragonfly stove and it boiled water using the pots here super fast. Under 3 minutes for a couple cups.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bought in 08 and have used all or some on every trip since. Not a review one huh? We use this for our backpacking, raft, & canoe trips, sometimes the whole kit, but usually just what we need. I mean who needs to wash plates, me and my wife are not so domesticated. We eat and cook out of the little pot, and use the big pot only on long trips where one might want to have a "bath", we are boiling instead of filtering, or if the river is doing the carrying. I love the mugs, they keep coffee hot, almost undrinkable for the first 20 minutes from boil, the lids don't seal as well as they used to, but these things have hundreds of miles being crammed in a pack. The little pot is about as non stick as you could make it, even after all this use. It's heavy all together, you gram counters can fuss all you like, my 100 lbs 37 year old wife carries this set and likes it over everything else so far and that includes my titanium pot set, from another company that she feels is not "up to it" if I remember her words correctly, she hasn't carried it even once always going back to her old banged up MSR set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pack Tight Eat Right We have had this set now since 2009. Its got a great design to save space and perfect for various styles of trips. We bring the smaller pot with us probably half of the time, depends on what meals we are planning (multiple courses, water for hot coco) otherwise when we do remove the smaller pot then we can store our coffee, hot coco, tea, and various other items so its helpful on organizing and utilizing storage space. We lost one of the bowls off our trailer one hunting trip and we were able to replace it without a hiccup. Super easy and efficient. We love this set. Thats also why my sister and brother-in-law, brother, and 2 cousins also have the set now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Favorite Cookware so far! I took this on a two month bike trip across the US, and it was great. I was with one other person, we camped and cooked at least two meals nearly every day. The pots held up great, stayed non-stick, and it's all super light and easy to pack. Sometimes the pot-handles on cook-kits are really flimsy, but the one in this kit is great. It's sturdy, and easy to switch between pots while cooking. The lids on the cups you use more than you might think, as it really keeps your coffee/tea warm on those cold morning. Also the bowls really hold a lot of volume, which is nice on those trips where your caloric intake really goes up and you need bigger bowls of oatmeal in the mornings! We used this with the MSR Whisperlite stove. The size and balance was great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very versatile My wife and I have been using this set for 5 years now. It holds up very well to the abuse we have put them through. Everything fits nicely into the large pot. Although, for short and light trips we just bring the one pot. The detachable handle is nice. The whole set is a bit heavy, but it is able to do whatever you need it for in the back country.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Non-stick coating not reliable I bought the set about a year and a half ago. As all the reviews said, it's compact and serves well for two. I've mostly used it to heat up water or cook canned food, using only plastic utensils. However, the non-stick coating start to wear off since this summer and now the bottom of the bigger pot is almost not non-sticking anymore. Strongly recommend the manufacture to improve the non-sticking coating.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Car Camping Kit I was a little surprised at the size (larger than I expected) when I unboxed this set. Definitely good to have in my range of cooking gear and this is my go-to when car camping. The mugs do a very good job keeping their contents hot. Only thing I added were some eating utensils and the MSR Quick Skillet (which conveniently nests on the bottom, but is loose) for a more complete setup.
