Rated 5 out of 5 by from This will Save Your Camping Trip! This little tent pole splint works and is truly a lifesaver! The first time we used this we actually borrowed it from our buddy on the motorcycling trip we were on. One of our poles broke towards the end of the trip and he had this item in his gear. It worked so well and we didn't need duct tape to hold it in place. After the trip we mailed it back to him and made sure to purchase one of our own. The splint is super lightweight and doesn't take up any room at all. Definite must have if you tent camp at all!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 5/8 splint is not for labeled correctly I bought the 5/8 tent pole splint. If you zoom in on the tent pole packaging (on the REI site), it says "Tent pole splint for poles up to 5/8" (18 mm) diameter". This is NOT correct. The ID of the splint is 17/32" and the OD is 5/8". Obviously this splint is 3/32" short of the correct diameter and it WILL NOT FIT a tent pole having an OD of 5/8.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what the camper ordered I'm a Scout Master and I have to have a good working tent. When I broke my pole last campout I thought I would have to buy a whole new tent. This saved me a ton of money to be able to keep using what I have. I used it the day after I put it on and it worked great. Just make sure that you get the right size, I had to go back one time for the bigger one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GI JOE 1st aid for your tent I really like this tool for using when your tent fiberglass poles break out in the field. This happened to me and i did not have anything but my duct tape which helped for a temporary fix. When using this, also wrap it tightly with some duct tape and it will work. Just make sure you get the right size as some tent poles are thinner and thicker then others. Good to have for emergency's while in the field using your tent.
