Rated 5 out of 5 by from Side sleepers take note! After many restless nights on the trail using crumpled-up clothes or other makeshift pillows, I decided to invest in a quality backcountry pillow. Because I am a side-sleeper, I needed to find one that had enough height and bulk to support my head. I used it for the first time last night and loved it. The combination of the inflatable air bladder and memory foam is perfect--it's the ideal height and very comfortable. I did not need to add any bulk under the pillow in the elastic netting on the bottom side of the pillow, but YMMV. It also fits inside the pillow pouch of my Big Agnes Encampment sleeping bag. This pillow is expensive, but worth every penny.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No more stuffing clothes! I work as an outdoor adventure guide and spend 130 + days a year camping/backpacking. Until this past year I always did the ol' stuff the stuff sack full of extra clothes and have it constantly shift and never have the right support thing. Then my mother bought one of these and I tried it out and fell in love! If you are on the fence about adding a Fillo to your backpacking kit, it is certainly worth it's weight and space as a splurge comfort item! Pros: Very comfortable, compact, has held up well these past 6 + months of high use, washable case! Cons: Slides around a bit when not nestled properly into sleeping bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth it 10 oz is a lot for a backpacking pillow, I know, I hiked the AT w a pack that was usually under 20 lbs with full water and food, and the me that did that 10 years ago would slap me across the face for promoting such an excessive luxury as this. But good god, if it's wrong I don't want to be right. Also, whoever said it doesn't have enough lift, there is a pocket of elastic cords on the back of it you can stuff clothes or tater tots or whatever you want into

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nemo FILLO Backpacking & Camping Pillow Originally I had planned on purchasing the SeaToSummit Aeros Pillow Premium but than I came across this one and it caught my eye. I like the fact that it has an integrated stuff sack because it one less thing for me to keep track of. The included removable pillow case which is washable is what convinced me to take a chance on this pillow. Because of it's clever design, well made, and comfortable I believe it to be worthy of consideration too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very comfortable! Sure it's fairly heavy and a little pricey but there's certainly no regrets here. Though it's heavy it packs down to a very manageable size for a pack or a dry bag for river trips. It's so comfortable that I feel like I'm sleeping at home. You can simply inflate or deflate to make it absolutely perfect. The memory foam is so nice and the soft cover feels great on my skin. Thinking about it makes me want to take a nap. I tried using clothes as a pillow but I'm a side sleeper and there's no fluff and give to a pile of clothes. I really like to keep my clean clothes packed away at all times anyway so they stay clean and fresh so I really don't like using them to sleep on if I can avoid it. I tried other inflatable pillows and they were pretty much worthless. This is actually a real pillow. It's better than my pillows I use at home. Nemo really nailed it on the size of the pillow too. It's a really good size, definitely not too small. The thickness of it is also great, as a side sleeper it really lines my neck straight with my spine and makes it EASY to sleep, I have never been able to say that before. You will forget about any cons really quick after you use it, I highly recommend it. *It keeps forcing me to use the description "Heavy/Bulky" but I don't think it's bulky, only heavy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Search for camp pillow is over I use the Fillo on kayak camping trips. I'm well into my 50's so I really need a good night sleep. For years, I've been searching for a good camp pillow. I'm a side sleeper, so most pillows just don't have bulk needed to get my head up. So a stuff sack of clothes was the best option. Until now. This pillow is perfect. First, the air pillow can adjust to just the softness you prefer. Next, the micro fleece fabric feels great on your skin. But the best thing for me is the webbing on the bottom allows me to use a sweater or coat to bulk it up to the perfect size. It makes no noise, and is soooo comfortable. It stuffs into an attached sac. It's only slightly smaller than my NeoAir pad, and just slightly larger than foam pillows I've tried before. So not that compact, but well worth the space. Nor is it inexpensive. But it seems well-made and ingeniously designed. It washed up well once I got home, and seems durable. Love it. Great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good at home and afield. I've had mine at least two years and gave Fillos as gifts to 2 others. The wt. seems a good trade-off for comfort sitting or sleeping. My daughter and I will take them on our Camino de Santiago next year. Only fault has been one loop holding the elastic stuff cord on the back detached and needs minor sewing to repair. The nylon loop should be heat sealed on the end to help the sewing from slipping through so be careful pulling on it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth The Extra Ounces Some would claim its too heavy. I think its comfort, packability and design make up for those few extra ounces. I started on a clothes ball moved to a cheap cotton filled pillow but I haven't slept as good as recently while resting my head on the Fillo. I take advantage of the bungee laced lower by strapping in a rolled up Northface insulated jacket. I find that it gives me the best height having wider shoulders. My girlfriend prefers just the pillow without a stuffed jacket underneath. The versatility of that alone is a great pro. That coupled with the super soft microsuede removable cover keeps this pillow way ahead of the competition. I'm very happy with the Fillo and will be purchasing a second one to outfit my girlfriends setup.
