Great pillow for side sleepers, but....

I generally like the pillow. It's the best backpacking pillow I've found so far for side sleepers. Most other pillows are not wide enough and/or contoured to cradle the head for back sleepers. I prefer a flat and wide pillow. I also like that it is very light weight and stuffs into a small integrated sinch bag. I only give it 4 stars because it needs some design improvement to be the "perfect" side sleeper backpacking pillow: 1) As one other reviewer noted, it needs to be at bit thicker, somewhere between 1/2 inch and 1 inch would make it better (at least for me). 2) The integrated stuff bag needs to be about a cm longer. It's difficult to fit the deflated pillow into the current bag. I'm concerned that with all the prodding I need to do to get it into the bag that it might someday damage the pillow. 3) They need to provide at least some basic instructions on how to use the locking inflation mechanism, removing the outer cover for washing, and stuffing the bag. I needed to do several internet searches to find some 3rd party You Tube videos.

Good pillow…Could be perfect

Good pillow. Could be better. The materials, weight and width are great. I am a side sleeper but I tend to roll a lot. The extra width allows me to roll from one side to another without rolling off. I also like that it is rectangular and even thickness from side to side. Some notes to Nemo to make this my perfect pillow. One, increase the air bladder thickness from 3 inches to 3.5 or 4. It’s too thin for side sleepers. Or make a side sleeper version. Two, add a pad strap so it stays put. Three, detach the storage pouch. It’s not needed when you pack it with your sleep system.

Comfy ultra light pillow

In spite of my abnormally large cranium, I’ve finally found a pillow that’s both comfortable and capable of supporting the full weight of my gourd. My usual issue with pillows is that, sooner or later, my head compresses them into something flatter than the Earth. The NEMO Fillo Elite Wide (and yes, it’s actually wide) strikes the perfect balance between ultralight backpacking gear and the comfort of bringing a pillow from home. It packs down small, inflates quickly, and weighs next to nothing. Exactly what you want when every ounce counts. The only downside I’ve noticed is that it can be a bit noisy when I’m tossing this globe of a skull around at night. That said, it’s a minor tradeoff and nowhere near enough to outweigh the comfort and packability. Overall, it’s earned a permanent spot in my kit.

Typical air pillow

It feels like the average air pillow no matter how you use it. It’s slippery and won’t stay on air pad Way over paid and ended up using my extra clothes as pillow instead

Magic Pillow

Alright so I’ve tried pretty much every camp pillow out there and Nemo did something magic with the Fillo Elite Wide. For how small this thing packs down, it has no business being this comfortable. The stuff sack is built right in so you won’t lose it, and it inflates in a couple breaths. There’s this baffled air cell that keeps it from feeling like a pool toy, and the wider size is a game changer if you’re a side sleeper like me. I’m not waking up with my head half off the pillow anymore. It’s got recycled insulation on top with a soft washable cover, which is nice after a few gross days on trail. Little micro-adjust valve lets you dial the firmness exactly where you want it. Barely heavier than the regular size and I’m sleeping so much better out there.

Great “Little” Pillow

Let me first preface by saying I am not a huge fan of inflatable pillows however, this pillow has changed my mind significantly. It is surprisingly quite comfortable. I typically stuff it into my Nemo sleeping bag pillow pouch, and this is now my go to sleeping set up. Obviously the adjustability of an inflatable pillow is handy in the past I have found that I could just never get it right but again this pillow seems to do just that. I no longer use my collection of pillows and use this one exclusively. I highly recommend these.

Very well made and comfy

This pillow is fantastic. I have the king-sized version for car camping and needed to purchase the smaller, lightweight version for backpacking. It’s incredibly small and compact yet incredibly comfortable. I absolutely love how the bag is securely attached to the small pocket of the pillow itself. I can’t express how many times I’ve lost or misplaced my bag to my pillow (this problem is no longer an issue with this feature).

Cozy & Super Packable!

Super comfy for something that packs down to the size & weight of a single sock!! I love the feel of the material. It does not fit easily into the pillow pocket of the nemo sleeping bags, but you can make it work. My only improvement i can ask for is that I would like to have a strap for the pillow to attach to my pad. Especially since it is not designed to fit inside the sleeping bag.

Perfect for a back sleeper

I was using my puffy jacket in a stuff sack. Being a second year Nemo guy with bag, tent and pad I thought would give this a try. Used this pillow on my last few hunting trips. Love it's packed small size, I backpack in, and if fits perfectly in my Disco bag. As a back sleeper this worked out perfect and worked well when I laid on my side.
