Good, but certainly not perfect

I use this stove when I go car camping. I bought this stove because of it's design, options, and price. When comparing to others at the store, side-by-side, this stove seemed to have it all and I still believe it is a good buy. Pros: Great looking Easy to set-up, use, and pack-up Comes with both a griddle and a grill Long burner for griddle/grill Serious flame heat Size is great. Very thin. Cons: The drain design is poor. The drain is not a single piece extending from top-to-bottom, ensuring all material is captured by the drain catch. A simple tube, inserted into the top drain hole, and connected to the bottom drain hole, would have been really nice. With out it, grease can collect inside the hollow body of the stove. The tote bag is complete junk. The design is great, but the material used to construct it is a joke. The handle ripped off the very first time I used it. The flames are difficult to adjust with the knobs. The knobs do not stay where you turn them. They "micro" adjust on their own and it takes a few attempts to get the flame right where you want it. Kind of annoying when you don't want to burn something. The griddle grease resevoir runs around the edge of the griddle which is normal, but the resevoir is very shallow and narrow. You will only be able to cook about 5-6 slices of bacon before having to drain it. The stove does not come with a utensil to pick-up the griddle while hot. So, after you cook those 5-6 peices of bacon, you'll have to wait until it cools off so you can pick it up, or grab it with the two sets of tonges that you didn't bring. The griddle "legs" that fold down and insert into the openings on the stove do not lock in place and are sometimes hard to align, especially if you are using a utensil to hold it with. If you don't get the alignment right, the legs will fold back into a retracted position.

Bag problem solved!

I just opened the box today and have not used the stove yet. But the carrying bag is quality material, like a duffle bag. The handle wraps around and is strong. I can't wait to go camping!

Cooks like a charm

This little stove is amazing! And with the extra skillet you can cook just about anything, only thing that isn't so good is the quality of the bag it comes in. Other than that no complaints

Great Stove

We used this for the first (and so far only) time on an incredibly windy day out on the coast. It fired up right away and did a great job under pretty harsh conditions. It was a bit hard to control the temperature, but I attribute this to the conditions, rather than the product itself.

Great stove bad bag

I have had my Rainier for a couple years now and bought it because it had the griddle attachment. This stove has been used and abused and keeps working fine. Like stated on an earlier review the bag is useless, mine ripped apart the first time I used it the handle ripped off and a couple more uses the zipper ripped out...it is about as thick as toilet paper and very weak material. There are two pockets for propane bottles and I have never used them as this bag can't even handle the weight of the stove so the bag gets 0 stars. The stove has been great, I smacked the rivets on the griddle legs and they stay put a bit better now. I like this stove alot as it can do alot and I have put many hard miles on it....push the button and it lights every time, nothing on it has ever broken and once my table was knocked over and it went tumbling without a mark. Great stove, very flexible, very reliable and very tough just don't plan on carrying it in that bag.

Love this stove

I love this stove, makes camping hassle free. It has the grill section which comes with 2 types of tops. One so that you can make pancakes or warm up some tortillas and the other so that you can grill corn or veggies over a flame. Then it has an open fire just like a stove which comes in handy for cooking, making a soup, warming up water for cofee or tea. I love it and highly recommend it. I bought mine online because they don't sell these in store.

Your new best friend

This camping grill setup is really well though out and designed perfectly. It’s packs away easy and can be stowed in the carrying case provided. It comes with multiple cooking surface attachments for any type of food. The non stick surfaces are what blew my mind, amazing! I have mine hooked up to a small propane tank that I use when camping and I have not experienced a better camping grill than this! I am highly recommending this grill to anyone that enjoys camping who has a little extra space for a larger cooktop!

Hard to control temp.

I'm not impressed with this grill stove combo, especially for the price. The flame is hard to dial in as the nobs seem to be spring loaded. The grill surface is pretty cheap. I also seem to get grease fires on this thing a lot.

Cheap quality and returning. Buy a Coleman.

Just received and opened box to discover this stove would not last more than one season. The griddle and grill are so thin they will certainly warp. Griddle includes a warning label stating to heat slowly to avoid warping. SERIOUSLY! Latch to hold cover up while cooking is a horrible design, one side is not in correct position to latch! Returning this unit and purchasing a Coleman stove, had one for over 10 years and is made with quality.
