Soles fell apart
The heels of these soles fell apart in 14 months. These were moderately used for day hiking and the heels fell apart. As you can see the rest of the soles have minimal wear. I have been hiking for over 45 years and have had plenty of hiking shoes, these are defective. Vasque would not cover them saying this damaged was caused by either chemicals or heat, wrong in both cases. If there was chemical or heat damaged wouldn't the rest of the sole look the same? In my experience you can only trust a hiking shoe with a Vibram sole. These are a Vasque branded sole even though the specs say they are Vibram. Vasque never again.

Hi, thanks for the review. We are sorry to hear you were not satisfied with these shoes. We did send these pictures over to our inspection team, and based on the pictures, it was determined that there was damage from heat or chemicals. If you believe this wasn't the case, please send us another email from our prior conversation thread, and I will help you get these sent in for further evaluation.
Loved them for a minute. Then this happened…
I wore these shoes daily to work (in an office) as welll as around town, around the house, etc. after a few weeks, both shoes developed a tear on the outside, in the suede, just behind the plastic toe cap. I love the look and feel so much that I want to buy another pair but I’m concerned they will do the same thing. You can see in the photos that the left shoe is worst than the right. I put Gorilla Tape on the inside to keep the whole closed up.

Thank you for your honest review. I am sorry to hear your boots did not have a longevity up to your expectations. I will reach out direct to see if I can help. We hope you will give our brand another chance in the future.
Soles ruined
I have not wear it very much, in fact in the upper part are perfect, but in a year and a half the soles began to break down. After three years since the purchase, are really ruined and I can´t use it at all. I think that it shouldn´t be normal in a trekking shoe. May be a material or manufacturing defect. The worst thing is that VASQUE only respond that the warranty is 12 months...

We urge you to once again reach out to Customer.Service@vasque.com and hope that we'll be able to find a better solution to this issue.
Literally almost the only thing ever on my feet.
Literally all I wear! I stumbled across these shoes by accident about five years ago and literally they are on my feet every day. When I lived in Bolivia I found them to be perfect on both dirt roads and urban sidewalks, and my days included both. Back in the US I can walk anywhere in them. I keep a newer, cleaner pair for when I travel, and at home a dirty pair to go on any path. The oldest pairs that have lost their bounce I wear around the house. Comfortable especially if you have narrower feet. I now have four pair of new ones in the basement because I?m afraid they might stop making them. Great shoe, with a big fan base too, including my granddaughter.

Almost Great
I have owned two pairs of these shoes now and have worn them in almost every condition. I really want to love these shoes, but I likely won’t purchase a third pair now that my current pair is worn out. These shoes are not waterproof at all and dry slowly, this is particularly irksome when a short jaunt to the grocery store in the snow or rain leaves your shoes wet and cold for the rest of the day. The other reason I would not buy another pair is that the heel of the outsole dies especially fast on these shoes and long before the rest of the shoe is ready to give up the ghost. This is likely due to the stylish cutouts made in the rubber outsole at the heel, which decreases the surface area and hence increase the stresses in this part of the shoe. Furthermore, my last pair was a bad egg and I had to glue the outsole back onto the shoe to keep it from flopping around as I walked.

Great fit!
I walk 5 miles per day, and was looking for a shoe that was comfortable and stylish. I tried on all the cross training and light hiking shoes at my local REI store, and found the Vasque Juxt to be the most comfortable. I really like the lacing system; it allows for a wide range of fit, and works great on my slightly narrow feet. The toe box has lots of room. The brawny toe guard protects the shoe. I've had mine a couple of weeks, and they are working great. No break-in was required. My only concern is the U-shaped heel; I hope it doesn't wear out too quickly. Other reviews seem mixed on this issue. So far so good for me.
Two fatal flaws need work before I buy again.
I've had a pair of these now for over a year, and use them mostly as a casual around-town shoe and for casual work when I want something that isn't either a hiker look or a straight tennis shoe look. That fits the bill. The issues with these for me is that the tongue is simply not comfortable. It feels lumpy, especially toward the toes. I figured that would go away with break-in, but nope....it has not. The second fatal flaw that I find (as with many shoes) is that the inner heal mesh fabric wears through while the rest of the shoe has many miles left on it. I'd send it in for warranty replacement, but don't have my receipt any more, and it's been over a year...though I would say that this is more my 10% wear shoe over my regular shoe...and they otherwise still look immaculate. Sorry Vasque...until you do some reinforcement in the heel and fix the tongue, I can't buy them again. Oh...and your laces failed within a couple weeks and they are impossible to find separately.

Extremely comfortable!!!
I was looking to retire my 5 year-old Keens, which had no tread left, for the fall/winter season. The Keens treated me well, but I wanted try out other brands. I have flat wide feet and I was skeptical upon trying the Juxt. I ended up going with a 1/2 size up and they fit perfect! I would have given this product 5 stars if it was available in widths. The soles are pretty grippy. I was surprised when I was traversing on some wet rocks, how well they grabbed on to them. I've had no issues so far. I might purchase another pair preferably in another color. Looking forward to using these on my overseas travels!
They won't quit...
Honestly these shoes just keep going. I've had my pair for almost two years now. I travel all over the world and go through some pretty unforgiving terrain, especially with my job. I wear these shoes 7 days a week and it is unreal how durable and comfortable they are. I have a brand new pair, that has not even been opened, stashed away in my closet and I will be purchasing ANOTHER pair, just in case Vasque discontinues them for some reason. Please please keep these shoes in your line up. Separately, is Vasque going to come out with an updated version of the Juxt? Take my money now, just saying.

Quality product
I bought these to replace my Vasque Breeze for day hikes and short overnight trips. The Breeze were great but forgetting them while they dried beside the fire did not go over well. I work in the shoe business, product development specifically, and I can say without a doubt these are top quality shoes for the price and purpose. I wear these for day hikes, 2-3 day portaging trips, and to the range for outdoor target practice and 3 gun competition. They're amazing for everything. Since my first pair of Breeze 6 years ago while backpacking around Australia to my Juxt now, Vasque has continuously proven they are the hiking brand for me. When the Juxt are worn I'll likely be moving into a new pair.
