I took this tent to Yosemite, Eastern Sierra Lakes, and everywhere. It feels home anywhere with this tent!
My father bought this a long time back and we used it often, the full sleeves made it very quick to attach poles, I feel like they never snagged. 2 doors and vestibules was great. Was having trouble finding a tent with sleeve looks like clips weigh less.
I've owned this tent since around 2007? I should have around 4 or 5 hundred nights in this thing. A decent number of nights in atrocious weather and its never let me down. Wind, Snow, Rain, don't matter in this tent. Setup and breakdown happen in the blink of an eye. You can keep everything connected and just pull out the poles each time if you finesse it the right way. You can keep a completely dry tent during setup in the rain. I treated the Fly with Scotchguard a few times just to stay on top of it, but only in 2024 did it get a leak from the adhesive on the seam tape braking down and failing in a few spots. Everywhere there needs to be a pocket, a hook, or tiedown, there is one. There is nothing wrong that is a clear design failure that makes no sense. Its utilitarian. It is not the perfect tent. It gets some condensation on the inside of the fly fairly often, never enough that it drips down or cant dry within a half hour. It would be nice if there was a way to get a little more airflow in warmer weather when the fly has to be on due to rain. However, this tent has never ever let me down once. At its price, for its absolute strength, reliability, and ease of use, if I could buy it again, I would.
I've owned this tent for 18 year and it is still waterproof! Excelent, I would definetly get it again
