I could not be happier with this tent. I bought this on a whim and decided to go camping for the first time in over a decade. This tent delivers. It's so much roomier inside than it looks. Plenty of space for me and things like my tablet and spare battery banks, extra clothes for when you have to go to the bathroom at night. I got stuck in a thunderstorm on my final night of camping and this was when I became truly impressed. Winds were just above 10mph and rain was pretty heavy. I felt safe, and most of all, everything stayed dry. The vestibule area was perfect for a little entry mat and my backpack was able to sit nicely just outside of the tent and stayed completely dry.
I bought this tent for more than year and I am still impressed by it. First time using it, I got caught in a thunderstorm and I was blown away by how well it stoop up. My 2nd year, just some heavy rain and no problems. Easy to take down and packed away. Very lightweight. I'll definitely buy again.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great minimalist tent. I'm 6'2",192 lbs and I'd say that's about the biggest human that will fit comfortably in this tent.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've already got the Stormbreak 2, but I wanted to give the one person tent a go. I purchased the Stormbreak 1, for solo outings where shedding a few pounds in my Terra 65 would be beneficial on longer hikes. I'm a tall guy and at 6'4", I probably max out what length capacity this tent can hold, but I knew this as I'd spent a good bit of time researching reviews already. Setup is quick and easy, literally under 5 minutes. Two pole setup and if you need the rain fly, there is color coding to match it up with the tent itself. Two inside pockets give you room to place a few essentials - flashlight, book, cell phone, charging banks, etc. Provided tent stakes lean a little on the heavy side, if you want to shed more weight, look into some lighter stakes either on this site, or elsewhere. Rain fly keeps the rain out perfectly, as experienced in the rain forests of southeast Alaska. All in all, the Stormbreak 1 was exactly what I needed it to be: a tent option, for when roominess isn't as necessary as being lightweight. Taller humans 6'3" or above might want to make sure they're ok without a lot of interior space, but otherwise, this checks the boxes for lightweight and minimalist in all the ways I needed.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 2min set up, good for backpacking (price-product), comfortable for your backpack and you, u can use ur backpack like a pillow, and let your boots outside, comfortable temperature 20-80f, I camp in the middle of the river, no problem with the condensation.
High Tech and well crafted peice of essential outdoor gear ! I have taken this tent to the highest and lowest points of Africa and it has never let me down. i love how it leaves an almost non-existent footprint and it very easy to pack.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Took on an alpine trip. Comfortable for 2 person. Vestibule works alright. Breathability was OK. I'd definitely tie out the rainfly to get the most airflow possiblem
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great tent it held up to 60 mile an hour wind gusts and the 5 inches of snow at Guadalupe peak campsite I would recommend this tent 100%
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first tent ever and I just tried it in a backpack trip and I like it, thanks
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The whole point of going down to a single person tent (for me at least) is to eliminate weight, and I while I did read the weight, and even held the same amount of deli meats in my hand before purchase, it just felt too heavy for me -- especially compared to my bivy. It's a good price point, but not good utility. I returned without even opening the packaging because just based on how it felt in my pack, I knew I would never use it and would just suffer through the condensation problem with my bivy.
