Stays usable in opened can for two years
I don't backpack and camp as often as I used to, and therefore it's taken me more time to use a full gallon of fuel, but it was the only size available when I was traveling. It lasted at least a couple years as if it were new for my car camping two-burner stove. My understanding is that it's not as efficient and can gunk up your stove if not used within a few months after opening, but it was fine for me for that extended period. After a couple years, it didn't burn properly anymore. Now I buy smaller cans to avoid having it around so long. (And I gave the remainder to a mechanic to properly dispose of along with their shop's used motor oil.)
White gas
Its white gas, it burns like white gas, smells like white gas and operates in a Whisperlight just like I always have used.
Still the standard for liquid fuel
Though being around for decades, Coleman fuel continues to set the standard for liquid stove fuel. Burns cleanly and does not leave behind residue or smells from accidental spills. While there are other products available that work well, they are more expensive and typically only available in quantities of less than one gallon.
Ignite the flame
The fuel is a great refill to have on hand. It’s easy to refill my torch lighter for camping and fire needs. The cap stays on tight until it needs to be used. A gallon is a good size to keep for emergencies and refill needs.

Messy to pour
Get a pour spout. It spills everywhere otherwise. Fuel burns fine in my Coleman lantern.

Clearly, you need fuel to burn in a white gas or butane lantern or stove well this is it you have to have it we all know the smell we've used it for 1 gallon is the perfect amount to get you through a couple of trips yet not too heavy to Carry
Clean burning
Coleman white gas is great. Clean burning and no heavy smells . I have used this fuel for years with no problems ever . I will never use an off brand .
Great for light and cooking
I haven't received it yet, but I am looking forward to it.
